I had a chance to play this recorder for several weeks and I found a pretty big problem with it: it is very difficult to play any note above the G on the second octave. In particular I was never able to play the high C properly.
I have no problem in playing any note on the Yamaha tenor 304B-II. I don't know if the recorder I had was defective or it is a problem common to this model.
The size of this recorder is similar to the Yamaha one, but I find easier to play the low C on the Yamaha because of the shape and position of the key. One thing where I think the Carlton recorder is superior to the Yamaha one is the thumb-rest. My advice is to spend a few bucks more and buy the Yamaha recorder.
