Same as LiftedTruck said, it takes my nice fat tone and makes it tinny and thin

Lets talk about the good side first. When I put this pedal thru my Blues Junior III or my Crush 12 with OD/Gain on, it sounds quite nice. Exactly as you would expect. What I don't like is the lack of volume/drive when I put it thru my Crush in clean mode. My EHX Soul Food and Xvive Golden Brownie have no trouble driving the Crush in clean mode. Not sure if this is a bad pedal or just not what it's supposed to do. Will be looking to demo something different when we get out of lockdown (again).

This thing is absolutely killer! Whether it’s through a 5150 for extra defined gain or a Fender Deluxe for that mild crunch, this thing will NOT disappoint. Stop shopping around and just buy it!

I bought this pedal to stack in front of my Fulltone OCD. Right out of the box, it had the sound I was looking for! I didn't even have to adjust any knobs! I play a Squire Stratocaster with a Fender Frontman 15G amp, and stacked with the OCD this pedal gave me the crunchy tones I've been searching for. Absolutely love it.

I can tell you that this is simply the best sounding Tube Screamer type pedal and it is the less expensive one of the lot. Fantastic mid frequencies boost so it's great paired up with a Fender amp or Vox amp with a Stratocaster type guitar. If you have a Strat guitar with one of these amps, go get one right away, it will improve your overall sound! If you play a Telecaster guitar with one of these amps, I would choose the BOSS SD-1 or a clone. For a Les Paul, a Dunlop Echoplex EP101 sounds amazing.

I own an original TS9 and wasn't satisfied with it. So I went on my way to my local Long and Mcquade store to try out both the TS808 and the TS mini. At first I just wanted to see if there was any difference between the two. Sure enough there was! I was really hoping that the TS808 would sound better in ears so I can grab it and move on and say to myself that I've gotten the pinnacle of Tube Screamers and won't have to obsessed about it ever again. But on the contrary, the TS mini sounded smoother and clearer to me than the TS808. The TS808 sounded darker and muddier. The TS mini sounded more like what John Mayer would've used on his rig. JM uses the TS10 so I wonder if the TS mini is more based on the TS10 than the other? After all, I came home with the TS that sounds the best to my ears and to put the cherry on top, it's less than half the price of the one I was willing to pay for.

This little thing is wicked. Perfect pairing for my Blues Jr.
The only thing I wish it had was EQ knobs, but the full size models don't even have them so can't really complain.

Great addition to my rig. Gives the nice little clean up I was looking for to my super hi-gain amp. Brings more definition as well. Totally into it, I've found out why this is such a must-have. On top of it, It does not feel fragile as its size would let you think.

For a little package this pedal packs a great punch. It is more than enough for any board without the need for the bigger 808 or the TS-9. It does exactly what you would expect. As a blues player it absolutely hits the mark without taking up unneeded space on the pedal board. Brilliant little pedal.

Gotta knock half a point off because there's no ability to take a battery, and the tiny knobs are hard to read (silver felt pen on the detents fixes that issue). Otherwise it's about the best TS OD out there, no question about it. I've used everything. Nothing is better. As a booster for metal, or into a clean amp for blues it's all there. This is hands down the best value for the dollar!

Sounds amazing. I was looking for something to give my vox ac15 a boost for solos and this was just the ticket. Ranges from almost no distortion to more than you'd need and really helps you stand out and cut through the cymbals and hi hats. Great tube sound especially when paired with a nice amplifier and guitar.

I picked one up after trying it in the store and comparing it to the less expensive EHX Crayon. The TS mini has less overdrive and less controll over the tone. But the tone in my opinion sounds better and doesn't need to be changed much, and with the extra gain on the Crayon I thought the tone got muddy.
The TS Mini seems to let the little "pick scrapes" and "finger pops" on the strings come out and the notes are nice and defined.
This peddle sounds amazing on my '84 contemporary Strat. But it doesn't do much for me on my Epi Les Paul.
If you looking for an awsome blues tone through a tube amp on a guitar with single coils this is the second best. Only next to a regular Tube Screamer. But it's so close in tone for the money I chose this one.

I'm not sure why L&M has this pedal listed as a TS-9 mini - it was modeled after the 808 using the same JRC4558 IC chip and sounds like an 808. This thing rocks. Classic Tube Screamer tone in a small and super solid package. A complete steal at $100! I love this thing!

Just got it. It's supposed to be based on an 808 and does a wicked job in small form. Petite, precious and powerful. Every gitfiddler should pick one up for the price is too good.

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty
A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.
Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.
How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.
Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.
Purchasing additional years of coverage
Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.
If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:
NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
