I tried this on my high end kit and did not notice much difference, so i put them on my mid level kit and i could hear the difference right away it really improved the sound on this kit, i would recommend
these and a good quality batter head on on a low to mid quality drum set, if your wondering what i'm using on my high end kit Evans G2 coated for batter and G1 on reso side this kit has Bubinga shells, on my mid level kit Evans G2 coated for batter and reso 7 on reso side these shells are made with popular.

Put a 14 & 16 inch on the bottom of my floor toms with EC2 clears on top, easy to tune and achieved a wicked low sound! Getting some of these for my rack toms for sure!!
