The SSL-3 has more sustain, fullness and ouput than vintage pickups. The raised flat Alnico 5 pole pieces are taller for a stronger and deeper magnetic field. Extra coil windings provide extra power making this pickup great for heavier music styles. White cover included.
Recommended for country, pop, blues, classic rock and heavy rock. Also for heavier and brighter-toned guitars with ash or alder bodies. Works well with maple or rosewood fingerboards.

Moving towards a humbucker tone, these still have spank and single coil explosiveness. If you don't like the sound of single coil sized humbuckers or noiseless pickups, but want more power and smoothness for higher gain, these are for you. These will only sound good if the height is set properly. Powerful magnets ... too close to the strings, and it sounds bad.
