By far the best value for your dollar when it comes to headphones.
I will use them 75% for practicing guitar and 25% general music listening.
They are decent quality, light, comfortable and sound great....what more do you need?

Have a pair of these K77 that came with my Yamaha P95. I thought they sounded ok until I bought a pair of audio technica ATH-M30x and compared them. The K77 sounded muddy, no distinctiveness in the low frequency spectrum. Mostly the same muddy frequency response with the higher frequencies as well. If you play piano or listen to serious music the K77 are a poor quality choice. I use the audio technicas always now. Looking to compare them to the Sony MDR 7506 next

I own a pair of K99s, which I love, but they're semi-open so they bleed a bit. I bought K77s for tracking vocals, but I was very disappointed to find that despite being called "semi-closed" they bleed just as much as my semi-opens.
These are great value headphones if you want cheap phones for mixing or casual listening, but they should really be called semi-open, not semi-closed. I'll be returning them for another brand. I wish AKG would offer more affordable fully closed-back headphones...

I bought these after reading reviews while looking for a set of cans with a $100 budget. At first I found them a bit bassy and the highs weren't all there, but after running them through the headphone out on my stereo all weekend (about 72 hours so far) with the radio playing they really opened up and become much clearer. I'll be keeping these for a while.

I bought 6 pairs of these for a computer room at the school I work at. After 8 months of pretty solid use with teenagers who love to turn them up, they still sound great, are very comfortable and have held up to less than caring use. The students really like them, they are comfortable and although I have reinforced the weak points that most headphones have (jack connection, where wire runs into drivers), and uglied them up to deter theft, some students say they like these better than their "Beats" and want to "Trade". AKG make great headphones and you can't go wrong for the price.

I bought these expecting $50 pair of headphones. I feel like I stole them though, because these sound incredible compared to what you would get from panasonic, JVC, sony, etc for that money.
I'm using them to monitor my electronic drums and simple personal recording on my computer. Easily sound and feel like $150 headphones. Highly recommended.

Only had them for a few days now but I'm very impressed. Great sound quality. Using an old iPod with various styles of music (from Haydn's "Concerto for Trumpet in Eb" to Floyd's "Dark Side of The Moon" and everything in between. They never got distorted. They're also very very comfortable. After you've had them on for a few minutes you almost forget they're on your head, and if you close your eyes you'll swear you're in the centre of the studio with the musicians recording the track. I'd definitely buy these again - an absolute steal for the price.
