As a musician and stage tech I've used every kind of stand from the cheapest single floor stands to custom built multi instrument boats. I've had both the 3 and 5 guitar versions of this one for years and like them a lot. They're inexpensive, lightweight, stable, the foam padding lasts well and they fold up nicely for transport. They get the job done without breaking the bank.
The only reason this review isn't 5 stars across the board is the set screws that hold the top and bottom sections together don't always hold 100% if the stand is used really hard and moved a lot. Replacing them with longer more permanent self tapping screws is a 2 minute $0.50 fix that completely solves the problem.

I really enjoy the simple design. The rack is very quick to build, and this is a very sturdy made instrument rack. Also less expensive than some of the other brands, plus this doesn't take up that much space.

This stand is nothing to write home about, but it does the job, is half the price of an equivalent Hercules stand, and I didn't need a five-slot, but I got it on sale. It went together with little trouble, holds my guitars fine (a Jag, a Tele, and a LP) with lots of space for two more. That said, I don't gig with it; if I did, I'd probably shell out for the Hercules stand.

After reading the mostly positive reviews I picked up this stand. Like another reviewer, mine had a small imperfection that made it a bit more work to assemble, not surprising at this price. It feels sturdy. It's holding two Strats, a Les Paul, a Gretsch Junior Jett and a large acoustic and they all fit fine. Very happy with it.

The rack once all built up is awesome but I had issues with one of the top parts. I was probably very unlucky but mine had some weld spatter inside the top tube and I had to literally hammer it down on one side.Clearly a lack of quality control.

Priced half as much as the equivalent Hercules three guitar stand, but should really be a third or even a quarter as much based on the material and build quality. It does its job fine, but the cardboard box it comes in weighs as much the stand itself. It's sturdy only when there is at least one guitar on the stand.

I was happy with this stand in storing my Fenders, but when I put my new LP with a white binding on it for just one day the foam rubber caused the binding to turn brown. Apparently this is common with Gibson's nitro finish, but I didn't know that and Yorkville doesn't warn about it. I'm only buying Hercules stands from now on.

I have 2 of these stands and they're great. If they are just staying in one place they are perfectly serviceable.

I bought one a few years ago when it was on sale.
I don't gig, so I can't comment on it for that, but I use it at home when I want to play more than one guitar or more than one need a string change.
I find it works better for those things than multiple individual stands (Which I also have).
I have had it full--and even with a 12 string dreadnaught & a full hollow body guitar on it--they all fit.
It's also handy for jams if someone else doesn't have a stand.
One caveat--make sure you tighten the screws holding it together from time to time. The ones on mine come loose every now & then, but as it's used at home, not a big deal-a screwdriver is always handy.

I have been using this for my PRS, Strat (with bar), Tele, EBMM US Sterling Bass and a 50's Gibson LG-0 for the past six months with no fit issues. It is stable and secure - leaving no worries in my mind. If you have 5 thicker guitars your experience might differ.
It seems like the best priced 5 guitar stand on the market, so I can't imagine needing anything else unless you're looking for something to assemble and disassemble daily on tour - in which case there might be better options out there.

Bought in December 2015 to keep my guitars organized next to the television.
Solid enough for my purposes and has held up very well.
The one thing that could make me give a higher score on features is straps to hold the guitars in. Never had a guitar fall over so it is no big deal.
Currently has 1 acoustic, 1 Hollow body electric and 3 solid body electrics.
The acoustic is at the end turned facing the other guitars to make it fit better.

Have, and have used this stand for about 5 years now. Holds my basses securely and folds flat for storage.
The only issue I've had is that the drummer stepped on the bottom, padded frame and the foam covering parted. I've taped the foam back together and it is still going strong.
Very good stand for the price. Have schelpped it all over the place and it has held up well. Not something to be abused, but if used as advertised, a very good buy

i put it together, put my guitars in it, and they are still in one place and in one piece! of course this unit isn't made to go on the road, but if you put it in a spot in your room, put your guitars in it, they will be just fine and dandy. good space saver. i dot know what these other reviewers are expecting for 50 bucks...5 piece stand for the price of a 3, pretty good deal!

don't know what the fuss is all about...I've had 2 of these that hold 7 guitars each for 5 years. no problems at all. my acoustics? use the end position on the stand - lots of room. then the electrics go in the middle. excellent product. money well spent.

It holds 5 electric guitars easily. Maybe 4 electrics and 1 acoustic. I dont think its meant for acoustic. The previews reviews are unfair. It is a guitar holder, and it keeps them safe. YOU CAN'T EXPECT MORE! I find Hercules are bulky and expensive. I have 20+ guitars/basses, acoustics and electrics. It does the job perfectly!

I use it only at home. I bought it because I needed a place to keep my guitars where it wouldn't take too much place and because it was on sale just under $50.00.
Took me 10 minutes to put together and it feels solid.
I feel the other reviews are a little unfair.
Features. What feature do you want? Its a guitar stand and it holds my guitars just fine. Maybe something to lock the guitar in place. I gave it a 3.5
