I think the search for the right pick for me has ended here. So the thing about these picks is while they do wear out little faster than most others, they happen to wear down while keeping a coarse texture that still allows me to Hetfield/Schenker the cr*p out of it without it losing the bite I need. If you're like me, you know that once you've smoothed it down the pick is garbage and you grab a new one. These ones last a long, long time. If you play aggressive rhythm guitar with lots of chunky distortion, you should try these.

I'm not a virtuoso player but I can tell the difference with these Tusq picks. Like a lot of guitarists I have a drawer full of all kinds of pick I've collected over the years -- I bought a couple of packages of the Tusq picks a while ago and they definitely sound better than any of the picks I have - when I reach into that drawer now for a pick I always choose the GraphtTech Tuzq picks.
