I special ordered a set. I put them on a Godin A4. Other than the fact that I really liked the Rotosound 77set it was wearing, I'd have to give them the nod. Does it sound like an upright? Don't be silly. It lacks some of the chromatic harmonics the Rotos were so good at and replaces them with vintage recorded bass tone. Slick, very fast and buttery. Would I buy again? Enough to consider their Acousticore strings for my acoustic Ibanez. Magic? No. Like? Very much so.

Yes these strings are expensive, but the moment you hear them you will be more than satisfied. Just incredible. If you play a hollow body these are for you.
