Over the years I have tried many gauges and types of strings. I play Blues and like to bend strings. Thicker strings tend to have better sustain, volume and tone. Thinner strings are easier to bend. With the conflicting characteristics of thin and thick strings there must be trade offs. I have found the GHS 10.5 Boomers the best compromise. I have them on all my guitars. Electric, electric acoustic and acoustic. I like bending strings, even when playing my acoustic.
