This volume contains the first publications of five moderately difficult compositions for piano solo that collectively span the bulk of Florence Price's career as composer. Two works -- A Wee Bit of Erin and Broadway at Night -- offer Price's musical responses to different facets of her adopted home city of Chicago while another, Southern Sketches, evidently written in the mid-1930s, offers a lyrical, seemingly nostalgic, and distinctly African American look back at the South where she was born and raised.
