The D'Addario Acoustic Guitar Humidifier protects your guitars from damage even in the driest conditions. The moisture reservoir is suspended inside the body, the system releases moisture evenly and slowly inside your guitar without actually touching the instrument. A high absorption sponge maintains proper humidity levels and is quick and easy to refill.

I own two of these that must be an older version. The originals a flexible rubber top and a dense white absorbent pad that held substantially more water. The pad didn't change in size substantially when it was wetted. I love those.
I bought another guitar and went to buy a third humidifier of the same style. They must have changed and by comparison this one is JUNK. Some thoughts:
- Lid feels like it is about to break - held on with two tiny tabs that I suspect will be life limiting.
- Sponge is too large for the cavity. You have to poke and prod to get it in far enough to close the lid. While doing this, it loses most of its water.
- Sponge is very open - not dense.
- Won't stay installed: There are no features on the side, and the body won't stay inserted in the cavity of the strings. There isn't enough friction to prevent the string tension from popping it back out most of the way.
It appears to be a cheap rip-off of a good design, but done so poorly that it is basically non-functional compared to the original.
This JUNK is going back.
