Celestion Vintage 30 - 16 Ohm
2 models to choose from:
Our most revealing speaker, the Vintage 30 features enormously detailed and complex overtones, a warm low-end, a famously rich vocal mid-range and a beautifully detailed top-end. Used singly to reveal the complexities in hand-wired boutique amps, or in quartets for a wonderfully intricate vintage 3D crunch, the Vintage 30 sound has been captured on thousands of recordings from a diverse range of notable players including Slash, Steve Stevens and Peter Frampton.

Heard much positive feedback about this speaker, so dispite the relatively high price for a speaker, I thought it a cheap way to attempt to improve my tone. Using a SG with a hot Seymour Duncan bridge pickup and a Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister 18 head through a 1-12 cab, I figured I should have a great sounding rig. Not satisfied the next logical step (to me anyway) was to upgrade the speaker in my Jet City cab. Well holy, what a great decision! The V-30 totally resolved the ultra bright almost harsh sound of the guitar. I previously backed the tone on the pickup off as well as the treble on the amp to mellow out the harshness to the point of muddyness! Now especially playing the high gain dirty channel of the amp the SG sounds so much sweeter! It's like butter on dry bread! Great purchase, definitely recommended!

Amazing. Bought to try in a Marshall 1936 2x12. Immediately amazed. I am very happy with this speaker. Cleared up the "mud" from the stock G12T-75's that are in it. I still have one 75 in there combined with the V30 and it sounds incredible. Very clear sounding and an even mix of highs, mids and lows. Clean or dirty, my new favourite speaker.

Put this speaker in the Marshall DSL 40. The original speaker, some Celestion I never heard of had weird vibrations at higher volumes especially on high gain. I was going to put in a Greenback as thats what I was used to in a cabinet but the store was out of stock. I knew when I put the Vintage 30 in, despite doubling the overall weight of the amo, I knew I had a winner. I plug Strat or Les Paul into it and it sounds fantastic.

Great speaker. Replacement for the stock speaker in my Laney Iommi combo amp and the difference is amazing. Much fuller, richer tone; an immediately noticeable improvement.

Crystal clear sound. Great through both my Vox L'il Night Train & Koch 20W Studiotone. Use it with my strat, '74 LP Custom and 2010 ES-339. Sounds great with each one. I have an open back 1X12 cabinet, I think it would sound even better in a bigger closed back.

Bought these the replace the Wolverine speakers in my Marshall TSL602 the difference is like night and day. Clear, with great mids and bass and treble that are smooth, a lot of presence, perfect on clean, crunch and lead channels, tried the Celestion G12H30s before the vintage 30's they were ok but nothing like the v30' that why they are the standard by which all others speakers are measured.
