Doepfer A-147 Special Edition VCLFO Module

This module is made of these sub-units:

VCLFO: voltage controlled low frequency oscillator
VCA: voltage controlled amplifier, switchable to voltage controlled polarizer
VC delay unit: voltage controlled linear attack envelope (only one parameter: attack) for delayed LFO operation in combination with the VCA (e.g. delayed vibrato/tremolo)

Specifications

• Output level Triangle, Sine and Rectangle: about -4 to +4V (symmetrical)
• Output level sawtooth: about 0 to +8V (positive only)
• Frequency range without external CV: about 0.005Hz (about 3 minutes) to 200Hz
• Frequency range in ultra low mode or external CV: about 1 hour period to about 1kHz
• Trigger signal for LFO Reset/Delay Reset: rectangle with at least min. 6 Vpp (AC coupled, i.e. the voltage difference is essential, 0V/+6V works as well as -3/+3V). If only a trigger signal with lower level is available the usage of the level shifter module A-183-4 is recommended. If you want to use e.g. the gate output of one of the Midi interfaces A-190-x to control the LFO reset or delay reset input the gate level of the interface in question has to be set to high gate level. A signal with a slow slope (e.g. output of an envelope generator or triangle output of an LFO) is not suitable! For these signals even the level shifter module A-183-4 may be used.
• VCA CV/amplification: 0 to +5V for amplification 0 to +1 (in VCA mode), 0 to +5V for amplification -0,5 to +0,5 (in polarizer mode)
• Delay range: about 5ms to about 2 minutes
