I have to give these a big thumbs up. Baby Dove has tried to buy me an acoustic bass for decades and I've said "No" to them all. When she saw the Ibanez Exotic Wood at L&M, ($$EEK!) she bought it anyway. (It was just too pretty). Luckily, for me, it plays and sounds better than I would have given it credit. I had Optima Unique Studio strings on it for years but the D went "Fuzzy". I put on a set of DR" Black Beauties" but they work better on the PJ's. These are simply fantastic through the preamp. Tops, they are at a fraction of the price of the strings replaced. Now I wonder if I should put some on the Godin A4.
