out of all the strings I've tried these are the best sounding. They simply sound great and they have a "snap" to them I like that makes you feel heard and present. I mostly play funk, rock and metal so I can confirm these sound and feel great for slapping, popping plucking, picking, and trem picking. they are very textured so they're harsh on the fingers, and sliding up and down the neck makes a very audible noise, but once you adjust its not an issue at all. They also aren't good at all for when you need a softer warmer tone for jazz, soul, R&B etc, but you should be using flats or tapes if you're playing that stuff anyways. Very few almost no downsides*, would highly recommend

These sound and feel great. I switched to these for all 4 bass guitars I use. It will gradually loose its zing as all stainless strings but may last a little longer.
