Play it. Feel it. Hear it. It's the One

When a guitar is "the one," you know it. It feels right in your hands and delivers the sounds you hear in your head. It becomes your faithful companion, musical soulmate, and muse. It helps you express your artistic vision. Gibson designed the Les Paul™ Studio to be precisely that type of guitar: the perfect musical companion, the guitar you won't be able to put down. The one guitar you'll be able to rely on every time and will find yourself reaching for again and again. For years, the Les Paul Studio has been the choice of countless guitarists who appreciate the combination of the essential Les Paul features-humbucking pickups, a glued-in, set neck, and a mahogany body with a maple capat an accessible price and without some of the flashier and more costly cosmetic features of higher-end Les Paul models.

Now, the Les Paul Studio has been reimagined and is better and more versatile than ever. It features an Ultra Modern weight-relieved mahogany body, making it lighter and more comfortable to play, no matter how long the gig or jam session runs. The carved, plain maple cap adds brightness and definition to the overall tone and combines perfectly with the warmth and midrange punch from the mahogany body for that legendary Les Paul sound that has been featured on countless hit recordings and on concert stages worldwide. The glued-in mahogany neck provides rock-solid coupling between the neck and body for increased resonance and sustain.

The neck features a traditional heel and a fast-playing SlimTaper™ profile, and it is capped with a bound rosewood fretboard that is equipped with acrylic trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. The 12" fretboard radius makes both rhythm chording and lead string bending equally effortless, and youre going to love how this instrument feels in your hands. The Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons add to the guitar's classic visual appeal, and together with the fully adjustable aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic™ bridge, lightweight aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, and Graph Tech® nut, help to keep the tuning stability nice and solid so you can spend more time playing and less time tuning.

The Les Paul Studio doesn't lack anything in the electronics department, either. It packs a pair of Gibson's acclaimed Burstbucker™ Pro pickups and a three-way pickup selector switch that allows you to use either pickup individually or run them together. Each of the two pickups is wired to its own volume control, so you can blend the sound from the pickups together in any amount you choose. Each volume control is equipped with a push/pull switch for coil tapping, giving you two different sounds from each pickup, and each pickup also has its own individual tone control for even more sonic options. The endless tonal possibilities, exceptional sustain, resonance, and comfortable playability make the Les Paul Studio the one guitar you can rely on for any musical genre or scenario. The Les Paul Studio is the essential Les Paul, reimagined and updated for today's players who want more than just another guitarthey want their guitar. The one. Here it is.

Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Bien construite, j’adore la tonalité et la couleur bleu tirant sur le mauve est attrayant.

Having a Les Paul has been a dream of mine for decades. This is a beautiful guitar. It suits my smaller hands and doesn’t mind my fumbling attempts at relearning my favourite instrument. The case coming with it is an added bonus. Believe it or not, you also get a shoulder strap, something I didn’t know. I love my new guitar.

So Long and Mcquade just had their 3 day blow out sale and I decided to check it out. I've been watching this Gibson Les Paul in Cherry Sunburst for sometime now. Well it wasn't on sale but for what you get, the full price is still an amazing deal! Love the Burstbucker pros and Nitrocellulose finish!! The tuners are holding tune amazing after a string change with some Ernie Ball Ultra Slinkys and a bit of a stretch. The sound and feel are amazing and very happy with this purchase. I picked it up at the Kanata store and the staff were amazing and very helpful! So why did I deduct a half point "Overall"? Well the guitar was obviously on the showroom floor, so everyone got a turn with it which left marks, finger prints etc. Other issue was, black Pokerchip instead of a cream one. So I believe it was put in the wrong bag (either the Blueberryburst or Ebony) bag. No biggie but I had to track down the cream Pokerchip on my own. They did take a couple bucks off for that. Biggest Con was the guitar was dirty and not set up in the least!! Also the neck Coil Tap was grounded out by the grounding wire but that was an easy fix. Thankfully I know how to adjust truss rods and do full set ups or a new musician would of had BIG issues with this guitar and probably return it!! For some people buying a Gibson brand from a reputable dealer, all this would be unacceptable!! For me, it was fun to give my new guitar a complete go over and trouble shoot the neck coil tap issue. Just another way of bonding with my instrument:) It's easy to get excited with a new instrument purchase, but be sure you give it a good going over before leaving the store. I'm sure the staff would take care of any issues you have with it. My issues were all minor, so no regrets on my end! I highly recommend Long and McQuade for your future purchases! And the 2024 Gibson Les Paul Studio is an amazing guitar and a great price!!

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
