The original microKORG was well-known for its easy to use vocoder with a dedicated mic and one of the reasons for its unfading popularity.
The new microKORG takes this concept to the next level and features a brand-new powerful vocal processor. In addition to vocoder effects, this new vocal processor features industry-standard hard-tune pitch correction effects, along with a harmonizer that lets you pitch-shift and layer the original vocal sound. You can also apply reverb, delay and other effects to the vocal processor's signal output.
Enjoy playing the new microKORG with the dedicated gooseneck mic that sports a metallic neck, to get the vocals you've dreamed of live or in the studio.

The new microKORG features a loop recorder, which lets you create backing tracks by looping and overdubbing given parts of music, making it the ideal tool for on-the-go live performances. The three dedicated buttonsrecord, play/stop and undo/redomake loop recording super simple for anyone.
The recording and playback settings can easily be modified thanks to its easily accessible dedicated menus, so any player can get started making music right away.

Travel through time with new synth sounds
Expanding the iconic sound palette, the new microKORG introduces a genre-based Category and Bank selector, providing quick access to an incredibly diverse range of sounds within Classic, Modern and Future categories. The genre-based Category and Bank selector lets users quickly find sounds that will fit any genre without endless and tedious preset browsing. The three Banks feature eight genre Categories, each offering eight preset Programs, and you can save up to 64 Programs in the User Bank for your own personal favorites.
The microKORG is a virtual analog synth that models analog circuitry. One of the characteristics of a virtual analog synth is that there are no physical restrictions in terms of how the circuitry is laid out, which gives you a wide canvas to create your own sounds so you can go beyond the classic, modern and future eras.
The microKORG features virtual patch functionality in a compact form, offering the patch functions that users are already familiar with when creating sounds using analog circuitry. Quickly and easily create deep yet detailed sounds while checking the patching on the onscreen graphical interface.

The basic design of the chassis, control panel layout, green silk printing, knob shape, and other iconic microKORG features have been retained, but the design has been updated for a modern look.
The new gorgeous 2.8-inch color display is placed in the center, and the entire control panel is recessed one level to enhance the immersive experience of playing and creating sounds. The body is painted in an exquisite metallic color that complements the three-dimensional shape, and the side panels are coated with a black stone-grained finish that creates a rugged appearance for comfortable, secure, long-lasting use.
Massively enhanced effects
To expand the scope of the synth sounds as far as possible, Korg has developed three series of effects including nine new types of modulation (with dynamics effects), six types of delay and reverb. These three series of effects can be independently switched on/off, and you can adjust the wet/dry ratio of the effects separately.
The signal is routed through the effects and output to a two-band parametric EQ with adjustable low and high bands, so you can adjust the final character of the sound. Users can create sounds from start to finish with the new microKORG alone, without needing an external mixer or effects processing.
Mini keyboard that's small but easy to play, with a natural touch
With the new microKORG, KORG adjusted the distance ratio between the black and white keys to make chords easier to play. This is a "natural touch mini keybed," with a touch that's designed for playing fast phrases. The box-style keys feature a high-grade feel, making it easy to play glissandos as well.
The 37-key keybed features an octave shift button in just the right place and can be invaluable for live performance, so you can focus on your playing without worrying about the settings.
Performance on the go
The new microKORG is easy to carry, at only 54.2 cm (21.3 in) wide and weighing 2.1 kg (4.6 lbs; without batteries and mic). The instrument can be powered via the included AC adaptor, but can also be powered via six AA batteries, giving you the freedom to play the new microKORG anywhere.
Celebrating the new microKORG with two color variations
To celebrate the launch of the new microKORG, two limited edition color models are available. In addition to the control panel and side panel, the program select dials and wheels have been specially designed with aluminum parts. One is a cool metallic black model, and the other is a beautiful metallic white model with a combination of pearl white and silver. Dedicated soft cases to match the body color of each model will also be included.

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.
Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.
How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
- Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
- Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
- No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
- Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
- Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
- Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
- Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
- Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
- Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.
Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.
Purchasing additional years of coverage
Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.
If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:
- NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
- USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
- GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
- BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
