Silk & Steel strings couple silverplated copper wrap wire with silk for easy fingering and a mellow tone. They are excellent for smaller body acoustic guitars and preferred by many folk players.

Great for finger picking and great for all sorts of things and for whatever style, I do wish that the have silk and steel in lower gauges like 9s or 10s, features get a low rating because they're strings the do one thing. Great product

Have a Yamaha LL16 so a larger bodied guitar. But these strings still make this body work and really bring out the trebles. They lowered the bass somewhat - which is exactly what I needed with this larger body to balance my finger style playing and singing ballads. The tone suits this purpose very well. Additional benefit is that they are very easy on the fingers compared to EXP light string. You can play these strings for extended periods and not suffer the "gouched" finger syndrome. Perfect for weaker fingers or learning players as less effort is required to fret the string. These strings deserve a try and work even with a pick for softer strumming. A great string overall. Sweet sound.
