This magnificent transcription of Gabrieli's twelve-part vocal work, Gloria from Sacrae Symphoniae by Dr. David Mathie is four minutes in length. As with many of Gabrieli's works, the Gloria is antiphonal and written for a three choir Ensemble with 4 parts in each choir. The parts are for 6 Trumpets in B-flat and 6 Trombones. Plus, 6 alternate substitute Horn parts.
The work is of intermediate difficulty and is very sonorous and lyrical sounding. A wonderful addition to a Brass Ensemble concert or church service.
