Well you certainly get what you pay for. I used this tool as my first ever peg winder. It last maybe 3-4 string changes before the handle broke off - literally. I didn't use extra or unnecessary force when I wound my strings. The handle just broke off on its own. I would use the higher quality peg winders. These aren't worth the money at all.

It’s fine for the money, it rotates kinda slow tho I’m actually looking into the Ernie Ball electric peg winder for a replacement, but if u got 3 bucks and need a peg winder these will do the job.

I embarrassed myself as being Bipolar 1 patient and worried about the quality of the product. I grilled a gentleman at L&M about a $3 accessory because some intelligent user decided to leave a 1 star review here! I came home all with mixed feelings even though the store clerk told me that it is a good performer. There are better winders out there for $20, but this one just performs exceptionally well for the money you pay and considering that is made out of plastic! It spins pretty good, some knacks in it and not smooth action all the time, but notttt badd at alll!!! Thank you store clerk for saving me from buying a more expensive 3 in 1 winder. Best Regards, Sonny

I purchased this tool in Burlington. It is spectacularly useless junk. I don't know if mine is a dud or they're all equally useless. It rotates with great difficulty and because of this, tends to slip off the button. I think it an outrage that people have to pay for these; they ought to be free. Mine is destined for the nearest, deepest volcano.
