Sempre Music The Eventual Arrival of the Queen of Sheba - Handel/Thorne - Flute Quartet - Score/Parts
Composer: George Frideric Handel
Arranger: Melanie Thorne
Format: Score and Parts
Instrumentation: Flute Quartet (Flute 1, Flute 2, Flute 3, Flute 4 [opt. Alto Flute, or Bass Flute])
This is an arrangement of the famous 'Entrance of the Queen of Sheba' from Solomon. It is not always faithful to the original as it is not just a transcription and has been slightly shortened to make it playable for wind instruments. The 4th part also gives the work a sense of direction through the varying bass line, and provides interest, rather than just harmonic support, for the 4th/alto/bass flute player.
