Additional Photos:
Composers: Various
Editors: Rainer Mohrs, Beverley Ellis
Format: Softcover

Level: Easy - Intermediate
This volume contains 34 original duets for making music together in lessons, concerts, and leisure time. The pieces are easy to intermediate and are aimed at advanced students, enthusiasts, and amateurs.
The diverse selection of duets from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras includes well-known "classics" by Dotzauer, Kummer, Lee, Offenbach and Reinagle as well as rarities by Morley, Boccherini, Schonebeck and Hindemith. Care was taken to ensure that both voices are equal and have a share in the melodic theme, so that making music is fun.
The edition is based on first prints and autographs and offers a reliable Urtext. Sparingly added fingerings and bowings are intended to be an aid for teaching and rehearsal. For practical reasons and with a view to better page turning possibilities, the duets are offered as individual parts.
