Northern Lights: An Exploration of Canadian Piano Music Level 1B is a collection of Grade One etude-like works written by Canadian composers. The 34 pieces were carefully selected to represent a wide variety of keys, metre, tempi and styles. They include jazz (Aardvark Strut), Impressionistic (Summer Lightning) and traditional (Lace Tablecloth). The collection is a useful resource of repertoire for examination, performance, quick study, sight reading and pure enjoyment. In addition students enjoy each composer's photo and biography.
