An exciting new addition to the Streamliner™ Collection, the Gretsch G2217 Streamliner Junior Jet™ Club is a stripped-down workhouse that's built to take a beating.

Powered by Broad'Tron™ humbucking pickups, this Streamliner guitar delivers robust lows, and a throaty midrange that is harnessed and shaped by a master tone control, master volume control and three-way pickup switching. A fast-playing 12"-radius laurel fingerboard with elegant pearloid Neo-Classic™ inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets sits atop the bolt-on nato neck with a thin "U"-shaped profile - ideal for chord work or fiery riffing.

The G2217 also features an anchored compensated wrap-around bridge, synthetic bone nut, bound neck, vintage-style control knobs, tortoise pickguard and nickel hardware.

These Junior Jets are a lots of fun! Great looking, nice necks, decent pickups. Not a fan personally of wraparound tails, but, meh!! Great price for basic single cut guitar, not a Les Paul, but it will have a place in your arsenal.

I have always stayed away from Gretsch guitars because they just don’t suit my style. I’ve never picked one up and thought it sounded good in my hands. I’m a Tele guy generally. I don’t know why, but I grabbed this off the rack and was immediately surprised by the tone and sustain. The quality is outstanding apart from the machine heads. I’m in love with these pickups.Best value guitar I’ve played. I’m playing through an Orange head and cab and it’s my new favourite sound. (I own A LOT of great guitars btw)

This was my first Gretsch. I usually play Fender Strats. The price was decent. Have been playing it for a few months and love the sound and playability but I noticed that is does not stay in tune for very long and I am starting to notice a lot of buzzing. Not sure if its the nut or if the neck is slipping out of proper alignment. Might be time to bring it in to our local store for a tune up.

I'm not going to say "for the money", because that seems to demean the guitar. This guitar stands on its own. I own a few guitars that cost significantly more than this one. This guitar stands tall with them all. The Guitar looks good, plays and sounds good. I was wondering thru Long McQuade London North and my wife actually saw it hanging on the wall. She new I had been interested in a Gretsch and said I should try it out. I have tried many Gretsch guitars across the price range and have never found one that really spoke to me. I loved the color and look and kind a reluctantly took it off the rack, not really expecting much, and I was not shopping for a guitar at all. I always try an electric guitar out first without plugging it in and the resonance was just so good and it played extremely good. I quickly grabbed another Gretsch with a double cutaway and a Bigsby and it didn't have the resonance or play nearly as good. I put it back and picked this one up again. Bottom line, I couldn't put it down and was looking for reasons not to buy it, I was looking for finish flaws, fret buzz, poor fret dress etc. and I couldn't find any. My wife told me to buy it because she said if you don't you will be back to get it the next day, lol.. I need to set the action, its a little high for me and set the intonation which is meaningless to me. I have been playing it the last couple of days and it sounds just great. I love the pick ups. The guitar has good clean tones, driven tones. The pick ups have clarity like single coils, not as much output as Humbucking pick ups maybe a little more output than my Fenders but has its own unique sound, This guitar is unique to all my other guitars. Maybe between the pick ups and the bolt on neck is where the Guitar gets its sound. This Guitar could have been taken out and played at a gig off the rack. I love the simplicity of the guitar its like my Tele's that way. I may replace the Tuners, which I have done on a few of my Guitars and in no way takes away from the guitars worth. The Guitar doesn't come with a case which is a good thing to me because that doesn't mess up the Guitars value. I ordered a hard shell Gretsch case for it separately. I didn't know what model it was until I brought it home and looked it up. It sits with my other Guitars and looks every bit as good as any of them. I don't know if they are all as good as the one I bought but definitely worth trying one out.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
