Additional Photos:
Composer: Frank McKinney
Format: Score and Parts
Instrumentation: Concert Band
Level: 0.5
The Bronze Age saw the invention of the wheel, the ox-drawn plow and the first uses of metal. This dramatic and expressive composition introduces the key of concert D minor yet easily remains within the grade 0.5 range. There are simple two-note slurs, dynamics from pp to ff, and colourful lines for every player. Unusual harmonies and melodies with supportive percussion make this a good choice for teaching a wide range of musical concepts to developing bands.
