Accura Music Inc. From Treble Clef to Bass Clef Baritone - Fink - Baritone - Book
Additional Photos:
Author: Reginald H. Fink
Format: Book
Instrumentation: Baritone
A progressive reading book to assist the treble clef baritone player to learn to read bass clef. Why not just use a beginning band method for this? Fink believes that a serious student that wants to begin playing the bass clef euphonium literature doesn't really want to play Hot Cross Buns, and Long Long Ago one more time. From Treble Clef to Bass Clef approaches the student as a maturing musician.
Beginning with 5 notes in the mid-range of the instrument, the book progresses by slowly adding notes, and at the same time reviews rhythms, articulations, and key signatures. "Exercises" are held to a minimum and the emphasis is on playing musical pieces while the reading skills are developed. In addition, the musical pieces introduce both the standard Italian terms and some not too familiar French and German terms. A pronunciation glossary is provided at the back of the book. Some advanced studies utilize the 4th valve. A nice way to get a 3 valve baritone player thinking about buying his own 4 valve euphonium.
