à en produire de ce genre. Introduit en 1962, il changea instantanément le son de l'instrument. La corde préférée de nombreux joueurs dont Billy Sheehan, John Paul Jones et Geddy Lee. Disponible dans tous les calibres et longueurs d'échelle courantes. L'acier, soumis à un procédé de fabrication très secret, est unique en son genre.

I mostly use DR strings on my basses, but one day I decided to put a set of the Rotosound nickel Swing Bass set, on my Rickenbacker 4003s. Wow! Totally changed the tone and feel! If you want that nasty, twangy growl like Chris Squire, Rotosounds are a must! Great for finger-style and pick playing, however not so great for slap. I have a set on a Fender Jazz, they don't have that compression for slap bass. Put a set on your Ric and dig in!!

I got a couple of packs of these strings. I've been using flatwound strings all my life but these roundwound strings were so comfortable.

I bought my first set over 50 years ago. (thats not a typo) There are strings that are easier on the fingers but nothing sounds better. John Entwistle helped develop these in the 60's and played them until his dying day. If you liked his sound, this is where it started. Instead of boiling the used, tired strings, try soaking in methyl hydrate (use a large tupperware container with lid), wipe down, re-install and they will sound better than new.

When I became a Bass player I used Dean Markley Blue Steel for many years and loved them. Then a slow period where a few years I switched to GHS Boomers to save money (those were ok and did the job). Then once back to playing, I tried these Rotosound (Geddy used them so why not try). I am hooked now. These sound great. Lots of bottom end for the boom and they are nice and bright. They last a long time (the boomers would die quickly). I do boil strings to get some extra time out of them, and even after a couple boils, they still don't break (The blue steels would always break shortly after 1 boil). Now, I haven't tried much other strings, but now that I am extremely satisfied with the Rotosounds and found my sound, why would I? ;-)

picked up 4 sets at that price, great sounding long lasting, get yours before there gone.
