For DJs, creativity and personal expression define just how far their career will go, and with the expansive features of the NS4FX, the sky is the limit! With full audio control over 4 independent channels, DJs can mix tracks, samples, loops, and more from up to 4 DJ software decks at once. The 4 channels of the NSFX each feature dedicated premium-quality volume faders, 3-band EQ with full kills, and large high pass/low pass Filter knobs. Crossfader assignment switches on the front panel allow each channel to be assigned to side A or side B of the crossfader, or bypass the crossfader altogether. This ultimate flexibility is perfect for crafting artistic mixes on a livestream, creating exciting build ups in the club, or preparing multiple songs in advance at events.

The high-quality, touch-sensitive jog wheels are expertly calibrated for precision mixing and scratching. The center of the wheels features a vibrant LED display that shows track position, bpm, pitch range, and time. The "Layer" button on each deck allows each side to toggle control quickly between multiple decks, making it easy to layer and mix up to 4 tracks. A dedicated loop section with multipliers on each deck grants quick access and control over seamless loops to extend a mix or perform custom transitions. To add even more flavor and creativity, the interactive FX section features 6 quick-launch software effects that are triggered by using the sturdy and fun paddle toggle switches. The FX section also features full hardware control over the wet/dry mix and beat division to help DJs create artistic and expressive performances.

Professional Sound
Sound like a Pro with Premium Inputs and Outputs The NS4FX boasts an impressive array of connectivity options, making it the perfect solution for mobile and event DJs as well as club jocks and livestreaming mixmasters. The balanced XLR main outputs deliver high-quality 24-bit audio, ensuring that event guests are always treated to an incredible, immersive dancefloor experience. The additional RCA booth output with dedicated control is perfect for sending audio to a personal monitor speaker or to an additional zone or area of a larger sound system.

For events or gigs that call for more than one microphone for MCing or formal announcements, the NS4FX features 2 independent 1/4" microphone inputs with dedicated volume and tone controls. The Mic 1 input can be easily switched to an Auxiliary option to allow audio from a smartphone or external media device to be played through the RCA inputs on the back of the controller. Livestreamers will appreciate that the microphone audio is combined with the main music mix when output over USB, making it easy to stream online without the need for an additional sound card or audio device.

Serato DJ Pro Upgrade Ready
The NS4FX ships with Serato DJ Lite software allowing DJs to start mixing with up to 4 channels right away. Since the NS4FX is fully mapped and ready for Serato DJ Pro, DJs can upgrade to a full-featured multi-channel mixing experience whenever they'd like! The NS4FX is also compatible with other leading DJ software programs like Virtual DJ and Algorridim djay Pro AI.

Just rocked my first wedding with this thing couldn't be happier. This combined with Serato stems and you're on your way to creating some awesome mashups. 4 Channels is definitely over kill, especially for a beginner. I barely use 3, let alone 4 personally but still glad I had that option as I progressed. My right side tempo slider knob is starting to wear, no other physical problems. Serato can be a pain! Last update fixed a volume issue with the stems but still have the problem where it turns on all the stems that I have turned off once in a while. Software problem, nothing to do with the Numark. Features I gave the lowest score only because theres controllers out there with way more options but this gets the job done, echo/hi filter out of songs in my transitions half the time anyways! If you got the cashola this controller is not just something you can start out with but a mixer you can keep on growing with too. When looking where to go next to get more advanced features I've been looking at like 3000 dollar controllers like the Rane Performer. Which is a huge testament to the NS4FX which makes it feel silly to only upgrade to something only a little more advanced when you can get so much done with this machine already. Do I recommend it? Yeah, of course I do!

This little unit does everything that a $1000 controller can do (with a little button mapping and some extra effort with the "shift" button). I would highly recommend this as a first controller for a new DJ or even an intermediate tune-spinner that's been thinking about buying a larger, more feature rich controller but is worried that the low price would mean a downgrade in quality... I've owned the NS4FX for about 3 years, I've been DJing professionally for almost 6 years in all kinds of conditions and this machine has stood strong. You will feel like a pro having this controller; and while it is a plastic exterior with some steel in a few parts - it's sleek. It's not an amateur look and appears hefty and durable (obviously take care of your stuff though). The jog wheels are a delight and the touch controls have always worked for me (and I'm not even saying this to pad up my review here, I didn't think after 3 years of scratching this thing that the touch sensitivity would still be so smooth). The cue buttons are soft, quiet, and also very durable. All the steel sliders and plastic dials aren't poorly made, and the ones that need to be tight or loose are calibrated to be just that. This unit also gives you what I feel is the most important thing to have in a DJ controller ---- XLR PORTS. these ports will change your life and up your game immensely and have always worked for me on the NS4FX I only have 2 CONS: 1. the plastic piece on one of the four deck/channel volume sliders came off about 6 months after purchase. These pieces have a hole on the bottom and just slide into a small steel arm for the volume control of each channel and I think they are meant to come off (for cleaning purposes?). These pieces are super easy to replace and equally easy to lose, which but it makes that particular channel/deck kinda unusable. It wasn't a huge problem since I still had 3 other channels to choose from, thanks Numark! 2. The built-in sound card that drives some of the internal software is great, it makes it so someone like me who's not an audio engineer can focus on my DJ mixing rather then my audio elements... BUT... trying to record my mixes leaves white noise feedback during playback. I've used three different computers with this device and have had this issue on all three while trying to record a mix. This is without any other electronics nearby causing undue interference. ***I have never had any undue feedback during live performances, but I'm also not recording*** Overall: This is my first Numark product - it won't be my last. If this is the kind of quality they put out at a $650 price point, I can only imagine what I'll get when I dive into their more expensive catalogue.

Very straight forward to use. The jog displays are bright ad clear. For the price, you do get some serious bang for your buck with features that you may have to spend hundreds of dollars more to find in a Pioner or Denon unit. The Jog Wheels are smooth and responsive and while I also own a Pioneer DDJ-SX2, the muscle memory isn't that far off. The indicators actually make sense. Unlike most traditional loudness meters that use Green, Amber/Yellow & Red indicators, the NS4FX uses Red and white clipping indicators that really stand out. The colour scheme looks quite smart. Feels premium despite it being a plastic casing. As for Audio, no complaints there. Great sound, although I found that the extreme bottom ends were not as responsive as my Pioneer but my Pioneer was $1500.00 at the time. It can still push these frequencies out to the speakers, just not quite as noticeable. The one thing that I will say is that I would have liked to of had more than just 1 analogue input that was controllable with one of the 4 channels on the mixer itself. It shares this input with Mic 1. Definitely not a deal breaker but unfortunately you cannot use this controller as a stand alone mixer. I will not deduct points based on something that I should have done more research on. Even If I had done the research, I still believe I would have gotten this unit anyway. Outside of that, the Mic inputs run a little HOT but that again is not a deal breaker. The faders are very responsive and are smooth when slid. I am very happy with this unit, my one real issue to be honest is that I can not find any cases built for this unit as of writing of this review.

Post pandemic controller for online djing, and in person djing. The microphones alone can easily be added to your Zoom djing or other only screen sharing streaming parties. The 4 channel capability is ideal when there's a looped back beet to the on channels 3 or 4. It's legendary track information in the center of the platter helps tremendously. The beauty of the layout is that it's not mirrored, so it's much easier to navigate. Especially have the loop buttons down on the bottom. The discount price and even the regular price is a huge value. Mainly because it pays for itself with half a booking! Thank you Numark!

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
