Seymour Duncan's original high-output ceramic humbuckers, the Duncan Distortion neck and bridge are perfectly suited for aggressive rock and metal players.
The Duncan Distortion bridge is their original high-output humbucker. It incorporates a massive ceramic magnet and hot coil windings to deliver well-balanced rock and metal tones that have rich upper midrange harmonic content. Great for hard-hitting, crunchy rhythms, and searing lead tone. Riffs are tight and percussive and lead work is fast and immediate with ultra-clear pick dynamics. Originally known as the SH-7 Seymourizer, the Duncan Distortion neck pickup is specifically designed for use with the matching high-output bridge version. It is hot enough to deliver smooth, fluid solo tones under high gain, while still producing bell-like clean tones.
Hand built in Seymour Duncan's Santa Barbara, CA, factory, the Duncan Distortion uses a large ceramic bar magnet, nickel silver bottom plate, 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.

I reviewed a Distortion bridge pickup only before and its an impressive difference over the JB bridge, But now I have a whole set as standard equipment in a Charvel So Cal. I now have a Kramer with the JB to compare side to side. The Distortion bridge has a hair less gain, not so mid focused, has more bass and is thicker overall as a result. Touch more treble as well but I turn the tone knob down a notch to compensate. The two pickups sound really good clean. I was worried as some pickups distort slightly when played clean but not these. The neck pickup is similar to the Jazz but a little darker with a little more bass with same amount of gain. A great addition to my "pickup collection" in other guitars.
