I really wanted to like this recorder, but it has too many issues. The pros: it's cheap, looks nice from a distance, and the first register notes generally sound nice. However - this recorder is not in tune - both from C to C, and between the first and second register. Similarly the low half holed notes are out of tune. Notes above the second register G do not sound (I can play more than two octaves on my nicer wood moeck - this was after two weeks of playing it in). This recorder is missing a D flat key, and you cannot half-hole the lowest key, so some notes simply aren't possible.
The bore and tone holes are extremely rough, with some splinters visible.
While I really wanted this cheap recorder to work out, it really doesn't. Newer recorder players are better served with a plastic Yamaha.

Love the sound, the feel, easy to use, metal lever work well.., all the noted are easy to create... the case, however, is confusing and i wont likely use it...seems like there is no place for the body to fit...if anyone has one please post a pic of it in your case..thank you

A good recorder, however I find the low C hard to play because the pad is quite stiff. I was able to correct this to some extent by holding the key closed with a rubber band when the recorder is not being played.

I was looking for a wood tenor recorder, since I studied plastic Yamaha tenor for more than a year. Since I am a student, I think I am not ready for a heavy investment into orchestra quality instrument, but looking for a decent instrument resembling renaissance flauto dolce as close as possible.
This tenor is fantastic sound wise, and low C is very easy to make with the key! I am able to play two octaves range with minimal adjustment of thumb position. G# sounds a bit odd, but with narrowing the thumb hole I was able to get a decent sound in both registers. The other notes sing very well!
The only limitation of this tenor recorder is that there is no low C#, which is a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, the price is just 20% of its European counterpart. I am very happy.
