Low, Loud, Light and Looks Amazing!
This is a great amp. Is it for the guy who plays in his apartment exclusively? Nope, but then again, I was always a bigger is better kinda guy. Even like how my guitar sounds through it.

I compared this amp to the Fender Rumble 200 amp at my local music store. I am giving the Rumble 500 amp full marks, with the following comment: The Rumble 500 amp with two 10" speakers has a relatively bright sound, but it doesn't have as much bottom end as the Rumble 200 amp with a 15" speaker. The reason is that, while both speaker complements move a similar amount of air (about 150 sq. in.), two 10" speakers have a linear frequency response down to about 45 Hz, while a single 15" speaker is linear down to about 40 Hz. For this reason, the Rumble 500 amp would be more suited to slap bass style playing.

Good stage amp. The 2x10 speakers pump out good bass tones. A tad middy but that's okay. The only complaint I have is that the DI is post EQ and there is no PRE/POST button. Why Fender left this out is beyond me. POST EQ is a pain. Every adjustment you make goes to FOH. Add lots of bass and the signal is very muddy.

This Rumble 500 (V3) combo amp has great clean tone, but at the same time, gives you dirt with the press of a button and headroom galore. It's super light weighing in at only 36.5 lbs which makes it easy to transport and load-in/out. The voicing options are candy to the ears. The Vintage voicing is IMHO probably the best non-valved sound on the market. Power is not an issue indoors nor outdoors. The addition of the companion Fender 210 cabinet (V3) , also with the Eminence speakers and horn, allow great clear sound that you never get lost in the mix.

I needed a bass amp for a bar gig and not really knowing how much power I would need, went for the 500 watts to play it safe. Well, 500 watts is plenty loud for just about any situation this side of a stadium gig, I’d imagine. (It’s frickin’ loud!) Sounded nice in all the various recordings people made of the show. Distorted channel came in handy for a number of songs. Very light and easy to carry around. For the money? it’s a decent, solid choice.

bought a rumble 200, but traded it for one of these after a couple days. The 200 actually sounds really good too but this one goes a bit louder, especially when plugged into an extension. There really isn't much you couldn't do with this amp.

Features: The amp have 4 band EQ, a very usable and easy to use overdrive, plus 3 switch to tune the sound. Vintage give a boomy sound, Contour cuts the mids and boost the bass and the highs and Bright add some presence to the sound. I found myself selecting one or more of theses switch to get the sound i want and just use the EQ to adjust to the room. The amp also have an Aux in that is very clean. The amp could be used as a loud speaker if needed. There is also headphone input that sound great I could have rated 5/5 but some amps have way more feature like build-in effects and etc. Quality: Very well build, Could have given 5/5 if metal gril was used to protect speaker. Value: It's very simple, nothing come close to this amp in term of value. All the money saved can be invested in others gears like new Basses, the extention cabs, pedals etc.. Overall: I had in mind to spend way more on a Bass amp but after doing a lot of research and reading a lot of reviews and forums, i found out that this little killer amp was more than enough for my needs. It's a purchase that i'm so glad i made.

I'm so pleased with this amplifier, for so many reasons. It's reliable, light and loaded with features that will assist anyone in crafting great tone to fit their needs. EQ is flexible and the switch-voicings can add warmth, brightness and presence in any combination. The onboard overdrive is solid and the thing is plenty loud in virtually any situation. I couple this to a Tech21 Bass Fly Rig and I'm set for the night with minimal hassle; in fact it takes more work to lug my two basses into the gig than it does this guy. If you're the kind of musician that just wants to plug in and play, or who wants to minimize variables, then this solid state package is perfect.

This thing blew me away. 2 10" drivers, a 500 watt head, plenty loud to keep up with drums in a full on jam with two guitarists, and it even has an XLR out. The only thing I wish it had was a mute switch. This thing can easily be used for small gigs, and you can add another 210 cab for an awesome mini stack. Best part: it's under 40 lbs. This combo competes directly with other combos that are double the price ( I'm looking at you, markbass) and holds its own. Dollar for dollar, there is no better combo amp.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
