This model was originally designed for Philip Myers, Principal horn with the New York Philharmonic. It is based on a design taken from early Viennese style horn mouthpieces. The cup is a long funnel shape which gives this mouthpiece great depth and warmth of sound while still allowing for tremendous efficiency throughout the ranges.
