I am a big user of Delay in my rig. I currently own three such pedals and always keep two of them on my board at all times. There are so many affordable Delay pedals with outstanding sound and tweakable parameters available, you will undoubtedly stumble on a few that suit your taste/needs. Delay pedals do not need to be complicated. Depth or mix (depending on what the pedal makers calls it), time (the length of when repeats kick in), and number of repeats are the three parameters one needs to have useful delay in one's sound. The Behringer Analog Vintage Delay VD400 is a perfect budget delay pedal the ticks every box correctly for me. The analog circuitry gives it a more natural, organic feel. Now I have previously mentioned that I carry two delay pedals on my board, not simultaneously but as on the fly options for different songs in a live set. One is set for a slightly longer than slap back delay, while the other is for longer more obvious delay settings. I can use this pedal for either application without any worries. The other Delay I'm currently using with this one is a JHS Series 3 Delay. (my review is posted on the L&M page for that pedal) The VD400 is every bit as good as that great pedal. So in my opinion the Behringer is alas a great pedal. You can't beat the price either. Like the title of this review says, You can't delay in getting this Delay pedal.
