YIKES; What a guitar! Where to begin? Many sweet tones from the (tasty) sublime to huge over driven crunch & everything in between; amazing. Very light guitar that might weigh 7 lbs tops. One of the nicest necks you'll ever run your fingers over. Incredible attention to detail during construction with top notch hardware. Only 1,954 were made at the Fender Custom shop in Arizona. Combines the best of the original "54" Strat with added modern features & technology. Plug this baby into a decent Fender tube amp and you'll weep tears of joy. I could go on and on and on. This is a fine high quality instrument that lives up to and surpasses the hype......grab one if you can and you may never play another guitar again...

I'm not a guitarist, I'm a drummer but I have been around and played guitars for years. But this guitar really stood out to me when I played it, the strings are unbelievably bendable, it's almost like the frets are scalloped. The pickups are nice, the action is nice, the bridge and nut are nice. An all around beautiful instrument.

Going...Going....Out of the Park ....Home Run ! I have been playing for 30 plus years. I've had many different stats over the years, MIM's and AM standards as well as AM deluxes. This darling I've followed for some time. I must say with conviction that it is a Home run. Fit, Feel, and Finish....unbelievable. My local L&M rep said there are only 3 left in Canada now there are only 2. The compound radius FB is and unbelievable pleasure to dance your fingers across. The Custom 54' pups are soulful, sonic and not much of the dreaded 60 cycle hum there...Delta Tone pot is exquisite. Love the classic saddles and all the eye candy you could ever ask for. Although the eye candy doesn't make a difference to your tone, it does however make you more Handsome in your Brides eyes. All packaged in a vintage tweed case, embroidered with a 60'th anniversary salute that winks at you ever so softly when you lift the top. No wonder my wife calls her my "mistress". Get on while you can....there will be no regrets....

Owned this Strat over a year and love playing it. Very nice neck for my hand size. A couple of drawbacks are that the pickups can be a little noisy as traditional Strats were. Used to own an original '57 Strat. There is also a really dumb design issue where you have to install a tiny little spring which can easily be lost into the tremolo arm assembly every time you want to use it. Overall, I like this guitar better that the '57 I had.

a standard strat with deluxe and custom appintments a custom embroiderd case, case candy and a special commemorative book all for $1,649, what are you waiting for....I've had mine for 2 months and I'm very pleased, I've owned standards but they just weren't good enough, I've owned many deluxe's and they feel unstrat like to me, this one is perfect, I've been playing for 35+ years, I've played everything and own some very nice high end guitars, my advice, get one before they're gone.

Loving this guitar!! I'm not a great player (yet!) but I know what sounds good.. And this sounds GREAT to me! Running it through a Mustang III v2 and so many sounds and options. It also just feels great in my hands. The contours of the body just fit you. Also stays in tune very well- even when bending a lot. The case and case-candy is stellar! Tweed with what I think is genuine leather accents.. Beauty! I also like that it's a limited run only in 2014. I hope to be worthy of owning it one day, if you know what I mean. In the meantime, I'm definitely enjoying trying to become a better player with it. Makes me want to play more! Cheryl from the Oshawa store ROCKS and really helped me out. Look her up when you're ready Freddy!

I love this guitar! It's the only thing that's been able to tear my Les Paul Supreme out of my hands. Classic Strat tone, great playability and comfort, fantastic fast neck, quiet (not quite noiseless) pick ups, all in all just a great guitar.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
