I've owned several guitars ranking between $ 500 - $ 2500 .. To my surprise, my Denver plays well without disappointment in sound. It has been years since I've since played and also rid my long term guitars 🎸 - I would recommend this brand for beginner to advanced players without doubt will meet your standers..
Happy playing

This guitar worked perfectly fine for a while month and a half, then, suddenly, it can't stay in tune. Tunes perfectly fine according to several tuners but as soon as ANY chord is played on it, it's out of tune. Sure, I've had this issue before, on a guitar that was well played for over 5 years, not on something I paid full price for brand new. This was a complete and total waste of my money. This is worse than a guitar I once found on the side of the road that had a broken bridge and still held its tune. This guitar is in no way a good quality guitar. If your looking for a good beginner guitar, this is definitely not the one to buy, you'll be better of finding one in the trash that'll play better than this thing

Pros: Price - Can't beat it for what it is Playing action was very good The fit and finish is very good for the price Cons: The tuners are some kind of Grover imitation and not very good. Mine is now wearing a set of Grovers that I had in my parts bin. Note they were a drop-in fit. the fret-board is some kind of black-wood. Fret ends were sharp and needed to be filed/smoothed.

I picked this up for myself to relearn on (haven't played in over a decade?!) and it's been great so far; it's nothing fancy but performs perfectly for what you'd expect from a budget guitar. I quite like the colourful finish as well!
I'll definitely aim towards something nicer when I become more adept at playing, but until then this will suit me just fine. :) Would definitely recommend as a starter or budget guitar!

I bought this acoustic guitar, after a while of playing electric, as I hadn't had an acoustic prior; I was absolutely shocked by the incredible quality of this cheap guitar.
I highly recommend this guitar to anyone that is new to acoustics, or as a beginner guitar for a brand new guitarist!

I bought this as my first ever guitar and I have nothing bad to say about it. It’s not perfect but you can nitpick anything for the price it’s a solid guitar. Stays in tune well and I haven’t had a big problem with it ever. Again it’s not amazing but you don’t buy a cheap guitar for that you buy it to learn. 10/10 would recommend.

We bought this guitar for my daughter for Christmas as she wanted to learn how to play. Has been a great guitar, everything that a beginner could possibly need. The only thing I wish was that the case to had more padding on the inside. The lessons that she's taking with one of the instructors at Long & McQuade I really helping to build her self-esteem. And I hope that she continues to enjoy playing

I bought this guitar because it sounded great for a beginner. Even Playing Pink Floyd music with this Beauty sounds fantastic. I bought the white color guitar and put in light silk & steel strings for warm mellow tone or Medium light bronze 80/20. The only issue is there is no front strap button for the guitar strap, only the back button is there. I don’t want to tie the front strap to the head.

I've been playing guitar for 20 years now and I've never owned an acoustic before (I know, it's hard to believe). I was doing a lot of research in which acoustic to buy. For over a year now, I was looking at the Long and McQuade website and the Denver DD44S really caught my attention!! I looked at so many other models, but always came back to this one!! So yesterday, I went down to the North York location to try it out. And oh boy it sounded fantastic!!
There was no doubt I was going to get one. Since I didn't have a chance to play a lot on acoustics up until that point, it's a bit hard to get used to simply because the body itself is large and I'm also not used to fingerpicking on steel strings often. But I'm extremely happy with the purchase, what an amazing guitar!! Thank you Long and McQuade!!

I have many guitars. Some cost more than others. Some you like more than others. I didn't want to play my $2,000 takamine around the camp fire so I picked this up cheap cheap to take camping and to the park. Perfect for a parent who wants to get one as a gift for a beginner youth. Good enough for me and I've been playing for 20 years. The Honda of guitars, for when you want to leave the BMW in the garage. Solid buy for all ages and experience levels.

I bought one of these in 2005, at that time they were around$100. It has served me very well, yes its a Chinese low level laminate guitar but it has a great sound, takes a beating and looks good. I spent a lot of time w this guitar and wrote many songs on it. What a great guitar for the price. I filed down the bridge and adjusted the neck and got amazing action and playabilty from this guitar... I removed the name on the headstock & decorated the neck with imitation vine inlays and have had people ask at jams and campfires " What kind of guitar is that??" or comment "That guitar has a special sound". You don't have to worry about it at such a low price point either, but I have hammered this thing for over 10 years and it never goes out of tune! Sounds too good to be true, I know. When it came time to move up I went from this Denver to a Martin, I still play the Denver all the time! Yes there is a difference but at $149 VS $2000, this guitar is just fine for beginners & budgets! Maybe my Denver DD44S is charmed.. or an anomaly... but I highly recommend this as a budget acoustic or 1st guitar!

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty
A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.
Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.
How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.
Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.
Purchasing additional years of coverage
Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.
If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:
NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
