I've only been using addictive drums for a couple days now, and for the cost I can say it kicks butt on anything I've ever tried before (Boss dr 660,770,880, Alesis 18). The preset kits are very cool as are the various adpacks available. Easy to use, and doesn't take up alot of room on the comp. I use this with Acoustica Mixcraft 6 pro with no issues. If you do a little tweaking here and there on the sounds, you could find what you're looking for and you'd never know it was software...amazing

Some drum programs need to be tweeked to get a good sound. Addictive drums sounds great, period. If you want something that has great features but is simple to use, this is it. In the studio I trigger it from a Roland electronic drum kit or keyboard, or use built in patterns. Pick a kit you like, change any piece you want, tweek the sound of each kit piece or the room sound as desired or just use it as is because it sounds great. Each piece is a separate track in your DAW. The built-in effects sound great. I love it!

Hands down the best drum program on the market. I could write all day about why I feel that way but google it and let everyone else do the talking. We all say the same thing. BFD, EZ, S2 are all ok but not in the same league for sound, ease of use and end product. What sounds good by itself does not always sound like live drums in the mix - Addictive Drums rocks!

This is my go to instrument for "real" drum sounds.I have all the AD Packs as well so there's a wealth of kits and groove styles available. This is the best GUI of all the drum plugins. The day I bought it, I used it on 2 songs without reading the manual which says a lot.I have had several people ask me "who played drums?" The built in processing is also excellent and VERY flexible. The presets are very punchy out of the box, sometimes too much so, but with some tweaking you can really dial it in.On my Mac Pro it is relatively light on CPU especially compared to BFD2 which is a hog.I haven't used it with an electronic kit other than a Roland SPD11 so can't comment on that but I understand there a mapped settings for that.I use it with Logic 9 and pro Tools 10HD and it's solid.I wish there was a 64bit version available but we'll have to wait until AD2 for that.Try the free demo and see if it works for you.A great company to deal with as well.

I've been playing around with this product for about 2 years now. The pedal high hat needs some work and there is to much bleed into the overheads. I found this product to be difficult to register be careful.
