Question: Does a Les Paul Tribute fit in this case?

Answer: The top of the case is a bit flat for a Tribute. It might just fit, but you'd be better off with a traditional Les Paul case for it.

The case came quickly. I was really impressed with the quality. The new latch design is definitely an improvement. They feel really solid and are smooth to open and close. Its pricey, but high quality.

There is a gap between the bottom of the LP special tribute and the case. The black case is the right one for the modern collection guitars.
