This is essentially an A custom medium crash but a little heavier and louder. It's useful if you are playing bigger venues, outside, or without overhead mics and need the added volume. If you play hard rock, metal or punk it's a great crash to ride on, lots of bright, sustaining overtones, but in a smaller venue or in other music styles it's a bit of a bull in a china shop. I ended up trading mine in for an A custom fast crash, which I find easier to control and the quick decay is nice for keeping the mix cleaner. This is a great cymbal but for a specific application.
