Vinnie Paul... the first thing I think of when I play this monster of a ride. I have wanted one of these for years and finally got my hands on a used one out of a L&M store in Ontario.
Firstly, the amount of compliments I've received on the sound of the bell of this ride is astounding. With that said this isn't a ride that should used in all situations as it is extremely loud with the intention of being heard through any live rock or metal band. All things considered, make sure to have a ride that fits the band you're playing in!
The build is great, feels and looks like it can take years of abuse. I believe I have a mid 2000's model judging by the stamp on the ride, and to my eyes there are no issues even though the ride may be 20 plus years old.
The bow seems to outmatch some other ride's bells, which is a no brainer given the overall weight of the cymbal. I wouldn't personally try and crash this ride, but hey to each their own!
Couldn't be happier with my purchase and will more than likely never sell this ride.
Cheers and happy drumming!
