I bought this to replace my BG ligature when it died. It is excellent value. The rubbery fabric holds the reed securely. It did need a very tiny smear of cork grease on the threads to work smoothly. The only down side is that the thread has marked my mouthpiece. I suspect the bars that it goes through are not big enough. I am not worried about this I am never likely to sell it, but if you have a mouth piece that you may sell I suggest you look very carefully to see if it may be damaged by this ligature
