The Meinl Sonic Energy Solid Kalimba is a great sounding melodic instrument with unique characteristics, not only in sound but also in design. All notes on the scale of C Major complement each other, so you will never play a wrong note. Made from high-quality black walnut wood.
You don't have to be a trained musician to play Meinl kalimbas. Also known as a thumb piano, mbira or sansa, these instruments create soothing melodic tones and are tuned to a specific scale where all the notes complement each other - this means you will never play a wrong note. Meinl kalimbas include a soft cotton bag for storage, microfiber cloth and a tuning hammer.

Packaged in a sturdy travel case. Much more quiet than my 17 note with a sound hole. The solid body has a deeper resonance. You can feel the sound in your hands. More intimate. Wonderful and magical instrument. Simple and easy to play. Thumbs are raw! Was around 2 months from order to door.
