This was my first ukelele. I bought it off of long and mquade online. Came out of the box in perfect shape, ready to play. I have purchased 2 more exspensive ukeleles since (one really exspensive), which is lovely, but I still love to play this little red Denver. It is fun to play, light, small and it stays in tune!

I know these are cheap and I have since bought an expensive ukelele too...but I love this little guy. It was my first one. It sounds not bad. Very loud. Easy to play. Very light. Pretty. I will always keep it. It's my little red. You need to get one. Ps It stays in tune.

I bought this Ukulele 9 years ago and it is still in good condition, I still play it lightly from time to time. I'm not serious about it so I'm not interested in upgrading at all. It is definitely good if you aren't sure about it and want to give it a try!

Third Uke in my possession, bright tone, very good projection for its size, comfortable width neck. I don't know how Denver makes stuff that sounds like it does at these price points. My concert Denver Uke is amazing.

I've seen so many "quality" ukuleles off Amazon that are junk, toys, or both. They look pretty, and that's all. But after a proper set up, these Denvers stay in tune, play in tune, and sound good. I can tell you as a professional musician and music teacher, that these ukuleles can't be beat at this price. I bought 30 for my classroom, and recommend them to any student looking for a ukulele.

If youre looking to try Ukelele and dont want to invest too much, look no further. There are a lot of cheap ukes out there, but lets be fair most are garbage. This one sounds decent, and is super sturdy. Its been on vacation, dropped on the floor by a kid, left in the sun all day at the beach and it takes it like a champ. A few things bug me though. When i bought it, it smelled quite strongly of wood glue, and that is still there (albeit faintly) months later. It also goes out of tune fairly often so invest in a tuner as well. All in all im happy with it, and would recommend it to anybody who wants to learn ukelele.

It’s great for beginners. For the first few days you have to stretch the strings out, if not it will go out of tune quickly.

Received this lovely little uke for Christmas and finally had my first lesson today. My instructor couldn’t figure out why my chords sounded so janky after we had tuned it... turns out that one of the frets is too high or the bridge or saddle are too low. At any rate, it made for an awkward ukulele lesson... and I guess I have a decorative ukulele.

I bought this ukulele around November - December of 2017. It IS good quality for the price it really is. But I would recommend buying a wood ukulele because if you aren't careful the paint can chip off. Great quality and price though. Very happy with it! Nothing special, but nothing too crazy. Would recommend.

I own this ukuele and I only play this ukuele for fun and i honestly love it! If you are a series ukuele player then these are not for you. It is only $45 so you already know that this instrument is not for serious musicians. Not once did a string ever break on me yet and I have it for 4 years.

If you want to play the ukulele professionally, get a Kala, because this Denver has many problems with the tuning pegs get wobbly, and if you loosen the string (tuning peg) too much, you can't get it to the actual sound of the string. We called long and McQuade and they told us that this isn't for people who want to play the ukulele professionally. Plucking on this sounds off, but when I play it on a Kala, it sounds beautiful. The sound of this ukulele is okay, but not as good as Kala.

I bought this ukulele over a year ago and I love it. It is a great ukulele for beginners and I use it all the time. At first it comes out of tune a lot but after a while it holds tune a lot better. My only complaint is that it doesn't sound quite the same as the more expensive ones when you tune it, but you can still play all the songs and it will sound good. I recommend this one for kids or beginners that aren't sure if they will like the ukulele because it is a very good buy for the price and comes in tons of colors.

I've been playing guitar for a few months and I figured it would be interesting to take up Uke as well. So, I went to all the music stores in my area and they didn't have anything that caught my eye. But then L&M had it. A great price for a great product!

Bought this uke on a whim after deciding that I wanted to get back into playing music (played the flute before, so no real string instrument background), and it's been great! Good lil uke for a beginner. If you have zero background with stringed instruments, it takes a bit to get your fingers used to it and the strings stretched out, but once that's passed, it's super comfortable to play! Holds a tune really well! Only really have to tune every couple weeks with daily use. I don't know how it compares to a more expensive ukulele, but I'm definitely 100% happy with this purchase!

Bought for my 5 year old daughter. After a month the paint on the neck along the edge started to flake making it hard to play. It wasn't too bad at first but by the time it was,it was to late to return. Sharp edges. Now I'm sure it's just 1 in a hundred chances I picked a lemon because Denver usually puts out a pretty good product for school age children wanting to learn an instrument. It's a wall hanger now. I waited to long to return the instrument and there is nothing they can do. We might upgrade to a fender for children sense she likes playing Daddy's guitars. No rating because I'm Believe it's just the luck of the draw that I purchased a lemon.

I highly recommend this if you're new to playing and want a ukulele for a low cost with a nice sound. Some strings get out of tune easily if you strum too hard but it's not too big of a deal.

I LOVE THIS UKE! I bought it yesterday and its just AWESOME! The colour is just as vibrant as in the picture, so thats really helpful if you need a specific colour :D As for the tuning, it does go out of tune because its new, after about a month it'll stop. But, Thats not a problem because I want to learn how to tune it anyways. The notes (when played) sound perfect. And it comes with a Denver bag with a extra zipped pocket in the bag for your new instrument! Your new friend also is well made, there is no glue lines or anything. It is just crafted wood! Which is awesome :D They also have many Ukelele books for beginners and the more experienced :) I also got a purple pick as well, cause if your not used to plucking your fingers can get quite sore. (The picks are like 30 cents) FInally, the price is my faveorite, its affordable especially if your buying a lot for a class or for taking lessons/giving lessons. I'll post another review after I've used it for about a month :) Hope this helped :D

Intonation is awful. It basically does not play the right notes. I don't know if it is even fair to call these things "Ukulele's". If an instrument doesn't play Ukulele notes on the right frets is it really a Ukulele or is it something else?

I work at a day camp as a counselor, and the kids I work with wanted me to bring a uke to play one day. Ran to L&M after work one day to grab one of these, and was blown away with how much I got for $30. The finish looks really nice, strings it came with sounded great, and overall really nice! Bag isn't great, but I got this as a won't-cry-too-hard-if-it-breaks uke, so the bag does what it needs to. I'd recommend this highly for anyone that wants either a good have around the house uke or a bring along to jam uke.
