With the announcement that a Royal visit was scheduled to Nunavut, Canada in October of 2002, The Iqaluit Music Society commissioned Mr. Cable to compose a work that would be idiomatic to Nunavut and reflect the First Nation culture. The motif on which the work is based is an Inuit scale. A full percussion section is essential in order to properly reflect the culture.
