Eighth Note Publications The Perilous Seat - Concert Band - Gr. 1.5
Author: David Marlatt
Difficulty: Grade 1.5
Duration: 2:25
The Perilous Seat was a chair intentionally left vacant at King Arthurs round table. Reserved for the bravest knight who would take on the Quest for the Holy Grail, its occupants sat on the fine line between life and death. The shifting meter (6/8 and 3/4) reflects this and introduces students to the concept of a shifting pulse.
