Use this at home and in venues up to 200 people.. Puts out well. Larger venues run through PA system. It is light and quite amazing for such a small unit. I also have a Garnet Amp that is so heavy I need a trolley to move it. Both units are fantastic but for a fast get up and go , light to carry bass amp. this SB110 is a real winner New price is around - $600.00.Deals are out there for used units. Quality is a trademark of the Traynor brand.

After shopping around a bit I settled on the 110 because of an amazing deal I got on it used. I am not disappointed one bit! I played with a drummer tonight and, though it was absolutely maxed out, it kept up great and we were rocking out quite loud. So for softer stuff this has all the volume you need. Super light, durable, and I think it looks great. Made in Canada so you can feel good about it! Also, did I mention the tone is comparable to amps twice it's price? If buying new, I'd probably shell out the extra 40 bucks for the 12, just to know you have the extra wattage if you need it someday.

The bottom end on this amp is the best I have ever heard in its price range. It has all the features you need including a low frequency expander and a tweeter in/out ( on/off) switch. I use it in a large hall without going through the PA (not enough inputs to include my amp) and it is plenty loud enough to reach the back with the gain knob set slightly above the minimum. I think the rear port helps this amp sound so good. In a very large venue it would be better to go through the PA and use the amp as a monitor but that is the same with any other bass amp. The SB110 is a whole lot more than a practice amp. Any beginner would feel great with the sound it puts out. It is also a very good working bass player's amp. I am a busy part-timer. I use this amp with a '74 P-Bass with flatwounds /SD Quarter-Pounder pickups and it sounds full and powerful. I am sure that no matter what style of music you play, this small block Traynor bass amp can handle it all. It is also very light and easy to carry. I have used Yorkville combo amps (200/100/50 watts) for more than 35 years and I have to say that, dollar for dollar/ sound for sound, the Traynor SB110 is hands down the best one of them all.

Super light and great low end for a small amp. Very neutral voicing, which is easily equalized to your preferences. It was a pretty easy choice after trying the Fender Rumbles. Compares to the GK MB series but seems since Traynor distributes them, they are well aware of their great features and put them into this little powerhouse. Haven't used with drums, but could DI out to a PA. Otherwise great for smaller venues, and practicing

I bought a SB110 and I am very impressed. It's loud for a 120 watt 1x10 combo and produces impressive bottom end. The tweeter (switchable) is very present but not harsh. I don't think 12 o'clock on the knobs is flat, I think flat is more like: bass -2, low mid 0, high mid 0 and treble -2. It sounds very GK ish to my ears but it has a bit more thickness in the bottom end. Also the high mid control is much lower voiced than most 4 knob Eq's. I am impressed with the build quality and tone. It also sounds very good with an iPod pumped through the auxiliary in, it sounds very much like a powered speaker. Overall this a great combo, it's build to last and it's versatile. My only gripes: I wish it had a master volume and an auxiliary volume, other than that I am totally satisfied. You won't be disappointed, this is a great combo.

Replaced my Markbass CMD121P with this. The SB 110 is a superior product with a cleaner power amp section, more intelligent port placement, much nicer bottom end and 8 lbs lighter. Traynor wins by a mile.

I was looking for a small 1x10 or 1x12 bass amp that I can practice with at home and also take to small sessions with electric drums. I was considering GK MB112, TC electronic BG250 112, or Ampeg BA112 when I saw this little amp at the store. After A/Bing with GK and Ampeg, I had no doubt that Traynor SB110 was better than the amps I was considering. Despite being tiny and lightweight, this amp can produce deep and articulate tones very convincingly. A solid buy and very much recommended to anyone looking for a small bass combo!

This little amp is great, lots of clear clean tone, plenty of power for practice and small gigs. Good little EQ section simple and effective with a switchable horn... and it is light as a feather. I can get every tone I want from it .. slapping and popping attack to wooly reggae.

It's light. Perfect for practice and small hall gigs. Bigger hall....put it through the PA. Very articulate reproduction of my various basses. The sound is way bigger than its size would suggest. Did I mention it's light....

Just demoed this unit and could not believe the low end on this thing and the crystal clear uppers. I compared it to the Fender Rumble 25 and it was like hearing two different instruments. I actually went with the Fender since it was a third of the cost, but I just might change my mind. Good sound inspires good music.... sometimes that's worth the extra bucks.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
