I would like to give this ukulele case 4 stars. However, because of the very strong and persistent chemical smell, I lowered my star rating to the minimum.
Because I don't want to go through the trouble of returning this item, and because I don't have a back yard, I submit that my only options are to either throw it out, or live with it, with the hope that the toxins will dissipate. I've been living with this horrible thing in my home for over three weeks.
Please note that I love Long & McQuade and have spent, with much pleasure, tens of thousands of dollars on many of the products that they sell. Regarding this item in particular, I am very unhappy about the relentless offensive imposition on my tongue.

I inherited a home made soprano Ukulele that needed a case. I wanted something better than a basic gig bag. The uke fits snugly into the case so it doesn't move around at all. It is a strong case that will protect the uke from most bangs and drops. The nylon shell protects against short moisture exposure. The "Uke Crazy" slogan on the zipper cover is a nice touch to give it a little extra style compared to any basic black bag.

The Long & McQuade sales lady found this for me to fit my Seagull Soprano Ukulele. Due to the uke's size, it needed a special case. This fits like it was made for it. The padding and plush interior protects the Seagull like a more expensive case. The shoulder strap is useful but usually not necessary. The "Uke Crazy" tag line on the zipper cover is cute. I gave it half a point off on the Features as I would have liked an inside strap over the neck to secure the uke in place when you open the case.

Long and McQuade did there part perfectly, They shipped it to me very quickly.
About the case...
Pros...
- Very ridge case
- soft felt interior
- Ultra light weight
- Fits my Kala Soprano Ukulele perfectly
- Interior Velcro strap to hold your Ukulele snugly in place
- Has 2 straps, a back strap and a shoulder strap, and a caring handle on hinges
- Exterior pouch is very handy
Cons...
- Zipper quality is terrible, it gets stuck while zipping and unzipping.
- Has a small interior pocket for your tuner, But my Snark Ukulele tuner can't even fit inside it :( .When I put it in the pocket the flap is left sticking up and it can't close all the way. (it poses no threat to damage the Ukulele, so it still kind of works)
Overall the price is a little high for the quality of the case because of the zippers. After all; if the zipper breaks then your case is useless. The zippers get very often when you open and close the case. They are very thin and flimsy. The zippers seem to be the only major problem, other than that it's great!
