Designed to be the most versatile cabinet in the Parasource Series, the PS12P uses a high power 12-inch woofer (with 3-inch voicecoil) to deliver maximum tone and low frequency response. The focused 85 x 50 (H x V) conical horn delivers improved constant directivity and better midrange response than competitive cabinets in this class.
Integrated DSP ensures the PS12P can operate in any application without complex external processing. A simple one-button high pass filter switch rolls off low frequency material when PS12P is used with any Paraline Series or powered lite System subwoofer. Bass boost delivers remarkably improved bottom end response from the PS12P without cluttering midrange program or affecting the cabinet's overall intelligibility - making it the perfect small speaker solution for larger events where additional subwoofer support is not available.
Innovative multi-band limiting allows the cabinet to deliver maximum output and remarkably event frequency response while protecting the PS12P's speaker components. Unlike competitive powered cabinets, the Parasource Series multi-band limiting scheme ensures essential elements like vocals and solo instruments in the essential midrange band aren't being modulated by transient attacks of low frequency material like kick drums and bass tracks. This delivers an extremely smooth and precise mix even at the highest output levels the cabinet can produce.
Designed for maximum versatility, the PS12P works equally well as a Front-of House cabinet, side fill cabinet or floor monitor. Innovative and highly efficient passive cooling scheme ensures the PS12P will operate in any environment without need of noisy internal dust collecting fans. Integrated reinforced flypoints ensure the PS12P can be flown quickly and easily in any fixed installation.
Rugged yet lightweight ABS cabinet and baffle design ensure unmatched long term reliability in the field.

Overall these speakers have a nice clear, punchy, well balanced and warm sound that is just a joy to listen too. They are certainly my not cheap, but you really do get what you pay for!!!

I use these for mobile dj applications. At times I play for up to 500 seriously partying people. The top end is clear but not as clear as some other brand named speakers I own at extreme volume. At high volumes though, 500 party-goers do not notice what I can hear by profession. This is about it for a minor 'con' on the units. They are normally paired with a PS15S for best sound quality. All I can say is "wow" - Yorkville really outdid themselves with these beauties. They will hands down, blow away any other speaker in the same class... solid and punchy lows, tight midrange and highs that don't interfere with vocals or mic applications. Plenty of available connections. The club feature adds additional bass when you don't have subwoofer support - I've never had to use it. Signal processing is amazing - even at extreme levels, I've never lit up the red peak limiter even once. They will handle 500 people, but for deeper low end support, either buy the 15" model or pair with the ps15s like I do and just use the ps12p's roll off feature for sub support. You still get bass assist for levels at 100 Hz or higher on the unit, but lower signals transfer down to a connected bin appropriately. Built solid, they're a great sounding powerful workhorse. Highly recommend - and 20 lbs lighter than the 15" model. High end is exactly the same specs for both models, so it's your personal preference. No wow & flutter at high levels on the woofer either... output remains punchy and amazingly clean. Yes a little pricey, but well worth the investment. They will last you for many years.

Purchased two of these at the inventory blowout sale. Returned two NX55's I had purchased and sunk the dough into the PS12p's. I DJ and host Karaoke on a rotation with three other hosts and it is amazing the following I have retained and added to because of the amazing sound of my Yorkville system. The compliments and approval from most everyone that attends my shows has made me the top of the rotation and garnered me the followers I strive for. Unfortunate for the other hosts. The sound is amazing and even at an almost neutral EQ. Vocals and music are well represented with a range that is unprecedented in others offerings. Crisp and clear with no need for an external sub. Hands down the best investment of gear I have purchased ever. Looking at throwing together another setup for my brother and these will be the centerpiece of that gear also. Thanks Yorkville for such a well rounded powerhouse.

I never thought any speakers would replace my vintage Elite 401's. Boy was I wrong. The clarity and kick is to behold and bow down to.
Blown away. Host karaoke, dj and have used for live band in a large bar. Never turned speakers over volume 3.
These are so good I bought the tens as well...
Thanks to Darcy at the St.Catherines store!
Oh, I also bought the 12 sub... Haven't used it yet.... can't see when I will...

I've moved from tube amps to li e6 helix and bot one of these after trying the ps10p, just for a better full range. Incredible sound, solid up to very high volumes. So much so that I bought another one to run in stereo. There's nothing better out there. I've had nothing but great experiences from both Yorkville and traynor gear. Top quality construction and purpose built products. Keep up the good work, yorkvi'le!

BOY THESE THINGS ROCK!!
If you can't afford a sub woofer this line from Yorkville ( parasource ) will do the trick
1 ) if you want midrange and top end go for the PS12P
2 ) if you want midbass & midrange and top end go for the PS15P
the only complaint i have is the cabinet is made out of plastic!!!

Absolutely love my PS12's! Purchased a lightly used pair from L&M in Calgary a year and a half ago and couldn't be happier. These speakers sound so crisp, no sub needed, lots of power, such a great long term investment. Yes, the speaker is heavy but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I am not surprised there isn't one bad review of this speaker, nothing but 5 stars! Without fail, I will get at least 1-2 people commenting on the quality of the sound when I DJ. Thank you Yorkville!

Been using these for a month now dialed in with a Driverack and LS720p subs. Great speakers stand alone or with subs! The "Club Mode" allows for a sub like sound for smaller gigs that don't require the subs. Well constructed and sleek looking. Love the sound, feel, and adaptability to any gig thrown at me!

Was at a wedding the other day, hotel in Alliston. DJ was using the room’s built in sound system. Bottom line: The powered speakers were horrible, no lows, only mids and scratchy highs. No subwoofer anywhere. Ugh! The room held about 100 people, so it was small. I have to say, the PS12Ps would’ve just killed there, even without a sub.
I can’t say enough about these excellent speakers, everywhere I use them they sound hi-fi even after 2 years. I still get compliments on how good they sound from dinner to dance music. To be honest I was considering trading them due to the weight factor for my old bones to schlep around. They’re still the cream of the crop in my books. Now I get a little help putting them on stands, is all. LOL!
Even considering to get a PS15S sub to compliment them too!

Before,I was using Yorkville Excursion 2000 and NX55's before but these are in another league. I had a gig yesterday and the sound was very nice and crisp. No sub, Club mode was On and the volume at 1/3. For small parties 50-100 ppl these are great speakers! They are very well build and at least for me, very easy to handle.

Ive listen to this speaker and its the first time ive heard a speaker that has a powerfull "hifi" sound in the good way!
Clean, realy smooth in the top end NOT harsh at all plus, they feel deep! You can tell the processing in those is hight end the bass is stunning.
Even if you put the speaker at 15H o'clock (pausing your music) they are dead silent, no amp noise, (no fan) so no fan noise and they feel like you could ran over with a car and they would still look new!
Great product and going to buy soon !

So, picked them up and used them 3 days later at a small venue, tunes and mics. Very nice sound and projection in a small church hall. They were crisp and clean. Got a couple of minutes to push them a bit. WOW! What sound. I left them in concert mode and bass flat on my mixer.
There was more than adequate bass coming from these cabs. Even got a few compliments on how Hi-Fi they sounded. Tried club mode, almost too much bass. Had to roll off bass EQ at my mixer.
I think that club mode at high volume levels, AKA: school dances, might push these into clipping. Club mode for me would be at a small dinner party/dance at lower volume levels. IMO, for bigger dances I would certainly recommend using at least one sub and engage sub mode on the PS12Ps. This will prevent frying the voice coils over an extended period of usage.
These are excellent speakers with more than enough horsepower for anything you may throw at them. I definitely need to get some crank up speaker stands for these though.

Reporting back after using these at a live gig. WOW. Nice sounding HiFi quality. I was impressed by how well they projected. Concert mode gave just enough bass that could be heard at the back the hall.
Speech using a Shure Wireless Mic was clean and crisp. No complaints except, they are a bit heavy for an old guy.
I would recommend a pair of crank up speaker stands for these. I was impressed by their sound quality and performance. More than enough horsepower for just about any kind of venue. But like I mentioned in my other post, if you are doing a dance, I would still use a good sub to protect the speakers.
I gave the features a 9 'cause even though they have 2 carrying handles they are still a little awkward to lift onto tripod stands.

What can I say, they are fantastic sounding. I found Concert Mode the best to get a great sound. Plenty of bass in that mode. Like any speaker, you can only push it so far (dances etc.) I would recommend a sub at that point. But the speakers sound so Hi-Fi. Clean and crisp and lots of power. So worth the investment. I recommend these speakers!!

I auditioned these at my local L&M. They sounded fantastic. I found that for me, concert mode was the nicest sounding, but still put out some nice bottom end. Club mode was amazing too, sounded like there was a pair of subs alongside the PS12Ps. I think that club mode would be great at a small to medium venue without subs. Weight is not bad either, even for an old guy like me.
I was so impressed that I am trading my E10Ps in on a pair of these gems. I highly recommend them!!

Just tested a pair at L&M. Was impressed with clarity and overall sound quality. Thought they would be really heavy to carry for their rated 60 pounds. Feel much lighter indeed. Liked them so much, have ordered a pair. Can't wait to get them. Will post here more news after I've used them in a live venue. I don't think I'll be disappointed too much.

Thease speakers Rock..i have owned both the Nx750p and the 55p.The mid/highs are by far the best i have heard from any loudspeaker in a long time and the bottom end is out of this world. They are a 12 that sound like a 15 but still remain very musical..and they are built like a tank..they have added more handles on both sides as well as the top of the speaker so the ergonomics are far improved..a must have for a wedding DJ like myself

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty
A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.
Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.
How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.
Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.
Purchasing additional years of coverage
Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.
If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:
NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
