I struggled to find the right guage for 25" scale PRS Core models. 9s were good for bends, but aneamic tone. 10s were too heavy (better on 24.75"). 09-46 hit the right balance and were easy to dial-in for intonation.

For years, these have been my go-to set for my main Drop A# guitar. .013-.062 is the sweet spot for me (.065 is pushing it and .059 isn't enough).
Good stuff!

I use this set religiously on all my guitars. i play pretty aggressive and these strings not only stay in tune well they also intonate well. i have used other brands and i cant say the same. Strings are obviously a personal pref. But i do have to recommend these if you chug hard and play in Drop C.

I've been using Ernie Ball strings exclusively but tried these for something different. While I hated them the first day, now I'm considering staying with the Daddarios. The guitar has not gone out of tune in weeks and I'm very happy with the tone.

When I first put these on my guitar I fell in love. These play so effortless for me and that wound third is now a must. I won't even consider buying any other brand/gauge.

I practice 2 to 3 hrs per day, normally my strings set last me roughly 30 days, small string brake and its time to change them, this set did not last me a week, and did not sound that good. Really not worth it...

I used to play just 9's until a L&M tech recommended these...haven't looked back. They are on pretty much all my solid bodies...mostly Strats (7)

I needed heavier gauge strings to keep my guitar in tune when it is downtuned to D standard with drop C or A. Though, if you play in drop A exclusively, you might want to use a 54 or 56 for the 6th string. Can be tuned up to E standard without problems if needed. You might have to file the bridge saddles and nut slightly to get these to fit. Make sure to apply some lubricant as well. Definitely has a thicker tone compared to Ernie Ball Power Slinky.

I had two of my guitars strung with wound 18 third strings on the recommendation of my guitar tech who set the intonation to suit. I was thrilled to find D'addario had a set to accommodate my needs. I've been using EXL's for years. They out last everything else I've tried. They stay in tune with proper stretching and sound great! I use EXL110's on my other electrics. EJ's on my acoustics.

Moved up from 9's and these strings still give my tele the nice twang. Still gives the bright tone that I'm looking for and still easy to bend.
I will be putting these on when I get a strat.

This is the goto reliable string brand and gauge I have used for years on Fender Stratocasters. Good quality and tone, no complaints, rarely breakage.
