Great replica of Eddies' early groundbreaking guitar. Super smooth neck and the Wolfgang humbucker has a superb range of harmonics and bite. The graphic paint job is cool, and the EVH branded Floyd Rose keeps things in tune.. A really fun and comfy guitar to play.

This guitar flat out rocks! Fantastic paint job, comfy neck, and a pickup that has a wide range of tones and goes from clean to dirty, depending on your setup and volume knob use.
Very cool instrument. I also own the 2021 Frankie relic, but that was more to keep as a collector piece. This r/w/b model will get a lot of play.

This guitar looks much cooler in person. Fantastic paint/striped job. Very comfortable neck profile and low action. The Wolfgang pickup screams! Easy pinch harmonics all over the neck, and rolling down the volume pot cleans up the signal nicely. One of my favorite axes.

I ordered this early 2021 and it arrived in January 2022. So worth the wait!
I am a player who uses no effects and plug right into my Marshall tube combo. This thing screams! It is everything I hoped it would be. Definitely a keeper.

I have 13 electric guitars and this is my favorite. The pickup is great for heavy metal, but it has that clarity that makes it awesome. Sounds, looks and plays great.

This guitar is only good for one thing: Shredding like heck! But it does it better than any other guitar, regardless of price range! This is quite honestly my favorite guitar to play. And I have axes costing 3 times as much. Eddie says in the manual for this git that it's exactly the same as the one he plays himself. When I read that, I scoffed but after playing it, I believe him. Trust me when I say this: if you buy this guitar, it'll be the best investment you've ever made! DO IT, SON!!!!

This guitar defies its price point. Amazingly comfortable neck profile that is buttery smooth thanks to being unfinished. The pickup is punchy and dynamic while maintaining definition and clarity even in high-gain settings. The build quality is excellent. Fret ends are nicely finished, nut is seated squarely, intonation and set-up were perfect out of the box. The guitar plays effortlessly and resonates for days. Admittedly, I purchased this mostly for nostalgia, and was expecting it to be ok, at best. However, this is a truly stellar instrument that I simply cannot put down. No regrets purchasing this whatsoever.

Plays groovy...the pickup is very powerful & sounds great...Volume pot is amazing nice and smooth...My only downfall was the fret ends vere too sharp...but got it fixed very qickley... all nice & smooth now! I'am not a E.V.H fan. However he is a legend & like his older stuff & added this one to my collection...This guitar is how it all began.

I own over 100 guitars and my jaw dropped when I played this. The neck just works for me. It is effortless and the pickup is perfect. Clear but harmonics are effortless. I am used to more bottom end from other guitars but this is the most fun I have ever had playing. The clarity above the 12th fret is amazing. bends are effortless.

Sorry guys, get a Charvel EVH Art Series guitar for the 'real thing'. Ordered my Striped Series from local Long & McQuade in Victoria. Opened box @ home, no tremolo arm or paperwork goodies!?! This Red w/black and white stripes isn't actually striped through the steps, i.e. you don't see the black lines underneath the red at all!! On the Charvel EVH Art Series they did the real paint work. No skunk stripe on the back of the neck surprised me. The frets on this are sharp, almost cuts your hand when moving up & down neck!! I own two Charvel EVH Art Series - Red w/B & W stripes/Black w/Yellow stripes. Own a white Kramer 1984. The Charvels are the 'real deal'. EVH Striped Series, fair for the price. Can only give it an 8, the Charvels are a perfect 10.

You would think a guitar with one pickup and one dial for volume would not have versatility in the sound options. But it does, really. Depending on how you pick, strum or fingerpick closer to the bridge or neck. It has a real hot pickup to overdrive a tube amp seriously. If you want clean, just cut back on the volume on the guitar. The dial says "Tone" but it is a volume dial. Having to explain that to some people about Eddie's sense of humour and desire for tone is exhausting. The clamped Floyd Rose tremolo system is what you expect, dive bombing and coming right back to pitch. Can't do that on any other Strat unless you have Yngwie Malmsteen's (brass nut) or Jeff Beck's (LSR ball bearing nut) guitar techs standing by. The basswood body is nice and light and resonant. The compound radius maple neck/fret-board is smooth, fast and ready for massive bends, hammer-ons and tapping. The look of this color scheme is by far my favourite. Don't need a pickguard. I got a decent hard shell case for this guitar as it does not come with any kind of case to keep the initial cost down. I don't use the drop-D tuna system much. My bad. The sound is amazing. Depending on the gain, you can make it sound like a Rickenbacker, a Les Paul or totally Eddie. I am happy with this guitar as a go-to guitar for a gig. It stays in tune. With equalization and processing you can make it sound like an acoustic but with a whammy. Then hit the high gain patch or channel and you have Eruption, if you can play it. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to Rock.

I thought the reviews were just too good. These days cheap usually means cheap. BUT, this guitar is amazing quality for the price. The sound, the feel, the tuning are amazing. I have been trying to go crazy with the Floyd type whammy, just to see if it will remain in tune and it absolutely won't budge. Wow. It's exactly what you are hoping it is.

This guitar is definitely a head turner. The fret job on it was worse than a Mexican Strat...they edges really need to be sanded down a lot more, but I actually don't mind it. That being said sound wise this thing absolutely wails, right up there with any guitar in the $1000-$1500 price range. I own Les Pauls, Strats, a Wolfgang as well as a high end Ibanez, and 80's Kramers etc... this guitar would keep up with any of them.

Very pleased. The paint job is gorgeous, and it play beautifully. The pup is hot and screams through my EVH combo. A head turner that oozes tone. For the price point it should have come with a case.

I ordered the guitar on July 26th 2013 and received it December 20th 2013. As some have claimed, it was set-up and ready to play out of the box. Mine wasn't, i had to take the back plate off and adjust the spring tension alot to properly set the guitar up as the bridge was pulled back against the body on such an angle that i could not use the D-Tuna feature. Doing this also made the wammy bar less stiff. All that said, this is best guitar to play. Tap harmonics are effortless. Beautiful paint job. Sweet maple neck. Nice jumbo frets. Impressed with the sustain of the hummbucker pick-up. I'm in love. Well worth the 5 month wait.

Maple neck and fingerboard, hot humbucker. One volume control. 12-16 compound radius. Floyd Rose Locking tuning system. 22 Jumbo frets. No pick guard. Greatest rock guitar. Was impressed enough with the first one to get a second one, black with gold stripes. Great sound, feel, looks.

I ordered this guitar because I wanted to add the historic striped guitar to my collection rather than thinking it would replace my Les Paul or EVH Wolfgang USA as my daily player. I was wrong. First off, the neck profile is flatter and wider and the jumbo frets larger than the Wolfgang series guitars and feel much closer to a Strat. I love the neck on the Wolfgang, which suits my hand perfectly and better than any other guitar I've owned, so that's not a plus for me but may be for others. It claims to use the same Wolfgang pickups but the one installed is far 'hotter' than either bridge or neck pickup on my more expensive Wolfgang USA model. Whether due to tweaks in the humbuckers or simply a basswood body versus a maple-on-basswood body, or both, I far prefer the tone on this striped guitar-less muddy, more balanced and perfect for it's intended use. Couldn't be happier with this purchase. Fender and Eddie have done really well with this one.

When I play my Les Paul or Strat. or any guitar I'm lucky enough to own, I am a great guitarist. However, when I play my “EVH” my licks and overall playing ability increases extraordinarily. I'm a health practitioner, so I know the need for plasma, so PLEASE get down to the clinic and sell your blood. Soon you WILL be able to own this amazingly, beautiful, historical guitar.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at 100%.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June 2018 the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: Starting at 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. Starting at 4% for each additional year.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
