To mimic the organic structure of cane, D'Addario reverse-engineered cane itself, layering different strengths of polymer fibers with resin and organic reed elements to make up the reed blank. A combination of resin and cane particles in VENN make it resistant to adverse elements that otherwise break down natural cane reeds.

Natural cane particles allow VENN to mimic cane, giving it a warmer, more natural sound.

Unique polymer fibres give VENN natural flexibility, for response and articulation similar to cane reeds.

Lasted a month maybe and was supposed to for 3 to 6. Be it, is recommended online you properly store it in a reed case which is not something I did. It was 44 dollars after tax so I wouldn't say it was worth it.
Also, it didn't really play well or feel nice in my mouth. I was hoping it would last me for a long time. Without the reed case only a month of playing time, unfortunately.

I bought this reed a week ago. The reed was very responsive for the first few practices, then it started fraying at the sides, then the tip split making it practically useless. The structural integrity of the reed is similar to that of a newspaper left in the gutter. Save your receipt, as Daddario will not accept refunds for defective products without it.
